  1. Review titled Very helpful

Rated 5 stars out of 5

Saw the new nurse-practicioner on her first day. My 90 year-old mother had an ear infection/inflammation which was painful and kept her awake at night. She was seen immediately without an appointment and a steroid spray was prescribed.

  2. Review titled Why so difficult to contact?

Rated 1 star out of 5

I keep reading on these reviews the Practice Manager would like to speak to the patient. If only! I've spent an entire afternoon searching for her contact details to no avail.

  3. Review titled Appalling reception staff

Ignore you while you stand at the desk. Dont even acknowledge your presence. Surly and dismissive every time. Anything too much trouble. Never smile or be polite.

Thank you for taking the time to bring this to our attention. We are sorry you have had this experience whilst visiting the practice. Our patient satisfaction has always been high rating on our surveys which we take pride in. Clearly you did not receive the best level of care during your visit which we apologise for. Your comments will be discussed, at the next practice meeting and appropriate action will be taken to address the issues.

Thank you for your comments regarding your prescription problem. To allow us to investigate the delay in your prescription being processed it would be useful if you could contact the practice to provide us with additional information. This would enable us to follow the audit trail within our clinical system from point of ordering to date of issue to the pharmacy. Some prescriptions do need re-authorising by the GP which can cause a delay. It is our normal policy to process prescription requests to be processed within 2 working days. Providing us with the additional information would assist in establishing the reason yours was delayed. The Practice Manager is happy to speak to you regarding this problem, however, as the submission is anonymous, we are unable to contact you directly.

  6. Review titled Poor Practice

Rated 1 star out of 5

I was really impressed when I moved to Mile Lane but since covid the practice is shocking and whats even more concerning is the attitude of the staff on reception. They are rude, abrupt and make you feel guilty for calling because you are unwell..... or they suggest the mygp website. I am more than happy to use the website if you can actually get on it and its not offline!!!

Your comments have been noted. Unfortunately, askmyGP has to be switched off earlier due to the number of clinicians working each day and we ask that patients contact the practice the following day for non urgent requests. Mondays and Fridays are our busier days. The Practice Manager is happy to speak to you regarding access and your experience with the practice, but as the submission is anonymous, we are unable to contact you directly

Trying to get an apt with GP is a joke , told have to have telephone consultation , then up to GP . The online system is switched off by 8.15am , ring up & have to listen to long recording before you get anywhere . Before Covid the practice was really good , just gone downhill . Rang at 8.10am , told doctor would call me , it was 6.20pm when I received call ,

As with earlier feedback, askmyGP has had to be switched off due to the number of clinicians working to meet the demands of the day in a safe way. Your comment regarding being contacted in the evening rather than earlier in the day has been passed on to our GPs.

  8. Review titled Incompetence

Rated 1 star out of 5

Absolute joke of a surgery, my husband was promised over 4 weeks ago for important medical documents to be signed. We called every week to be told it would be done, only to find out it hadn't. We were even told one time the GP would call us, but they didn't bother. I work another GP practice, I'm shocked at the level of incompetence and management of expectations. I wish I could give this a negative star review, but unfortunately this isn't possible.

  9. Review titled Covid killed this practice

Rated 1 star out of 5

by Anonymous - Posted on 07 September 2022

I echo what has already been said. An audience with the Pope would be easier to arrange that an appointment with a Doctor. AskmyGP , is normally turned on at 8am until they get booked up Somedays it isn't even turned on. Arranged a telephone consultation with the Doctor at the request of the surgery. I was called at a time I had stipulated I was unavailable. Still awaiting a second call. Just hope it's not something serious.

Your comments have been acknowledged. Unfortunately, askmyGP has had to be switched off earlier due to the number of clinicians working including reduced staffing due to unforeseen circumstances. Where possible, the practice arranges for GP locum cover but they are not always available particularly when it is short notice. Patients are asked to contact the practice the following day for non urgent requests to assist in dealing with the current days’ demand. The Practice Manager is happy to speak to you but as the submission is anonymous, we are unable to contact you directly.
