    Iv often had to ring urgently with poorly children, the surgery always do there absolute best to get us seen and i just want to say thank you for always getting us seen and sorted , doctors often get bad attention regarding appointments and wait times but we are honestly lucky to have a wonderful surgery in our village 😊

  2. Review titled Kind, helpful practice but problems with prescriptions

    My parents have been patients at this practice for many years (mum for over eighty years) and the doctors, nurses and receptionists have always been kind and responsive. I help mum and dad in their communications with the practice now and I cannot emphasise enough how sensitive and helpful I have found the reception staff. A few times however we have found the prescription service problematic and this has left both myself and dad anxious and upset. The system involves me ringing Cohens chemist in Burley who send a request to the practice for dads repeat prescription tablets. Over the last few weeks Cohens chemist say they have put in three requests for the same tablets. The practice did not respond. When I phoned the chemist they tell me that their system shows they have put in the requests. When I rang the doctors the receptionist said they had not received the request. Which left dad without his medication. I do not know if the problem is with the chemist system or the practice system but I would like both parties to look into this and check it out. I had to ring the practice twice this morning and I got the man from Cohen’s to phone too. This is not just frustrating for me but it also blocks the practice phone line for people who may be ringing in with medical problems. I would email the practice to ask them to look into the problem but can not find an email address on their website. I am asking Cohens to check from their side too. I just want my ninety year old dad to have his blood pressure and cancer medication.
