Following a suspicious lesion in my mouth, the doctor (who was not my own doctor) explained very sympathetically that this was not normal and very quickly referred me to Luton & Dunstable consultants who after extensive surgery removed my tumour. If it hadn't been for the prompt action from the GP I might be telling a different story. This was followed up after my discharge from hospital by a very caring call from my own GP just checking up on how I was doing. It is one thing to have the medical trained to be technically very good at what they do but quite another to foster such a caring, sympathetic and respectful ethos. I must say that the practice has improved significantly in the last few years.

They lost my my insulin prescription put in 22/6 when i went in on the 27/6 they had no record of it. I ticked the boxes and handed it over the counter . So what happened . Vary Unhappy D F Goode

Mr Goode, Thank you for your feedback. Please accept our apologies if the service you received was not to the normal high standards you experience from us. I have contacted you directly for further information so that we can see where the problem occurred. We have accounted for all the paper prescriptions we received on 22 June, so wanted to confirm that it was handed to the surgery and not the pharmacy where you collect your medication. I see that your prescription was reviewed and authorised by your GP as soon as we became aware of the issue. We, local pharmacies and the NHS would though recommend all patients to use the NHS App to order their repeat prescriptions, which ensures orders are received automatically and processed more quickly. It also removes the problem of handling paper scripts and the occasional issues that can occur with these. Steve Sharpe Practice Manager

I work in the NHS I am acutely aware of its failings. I recently contacted the surgery regarding a suspicious lesion on my leg. Within 24 hours I had a referral and confirmation of this. I think the e consult system is brilliant but it is backed up by a fantastic team who deserve recognition and credit for their efforts in a very hard pressed healthcare system

Attended today and was seen on time by a friendly, professional and efficient nurse in a clean and pleasant surgery and room. Cannot fault todays experience also with friendly receptionist and pharmacist.

I cannot praise this Surgery highly enough. I recently transferred and there were complications with my medication which the Pharmacists could not have been more understanding or helpful with- even at one point- when I was abroad! Magnificent, efficient and personable. Thank you. Such a relief!
