    At 10.05 am on Friday 26th April I was in marketdrayton medical practice . I over heard reception staff booking appointments for 2 people 3-4 week waiting time . I like to know why this is when there was nobody in doctors waiting area can someone from the practice explain this to me or are we just to think they take the xxxx out of all there patients. Looking forward to seeing the explanation for this .

    My partner rang this morning she has a sty on her eye lid she was told by a unqualified receptionist that they don't deal with eye problems for the second time. Go to the opticians for help as before there not happy about this . I use a different GPS practice and they say if she was a patient there they would help to sort it out for her marketdrayton medical practice is very inadequate and the service is very poor . They hide in that big building and a unqualified member of staff turns patients away joke .

    over the last few years when trying to get through to staff it always takes over 1/2 an hour this is no where near good enough. it seems they dont have enough staff to cover and keep waiting times down. getting appointments in a few days also seems impossible

    It has always made the hairs on my neck bristle with annoyance when I hear people say “ the Doctor was very good. The Nurse was patient,understanding” I’d say “ that’s their job, that what the NHS is - the caring profession “ Well now I’m going to contradict myself, by praising a staff member? Earlier this week I experienced the most thorough examination from a member of this practice. There was no 10/15 minutes appointment. Out the door. Another tick in the box. Next patient. Not with this individual. Maybe it had something to do with the vacated room the person was working out of. Highly motivated individual. Hopefully going to be at this practice for many years to come.

    I filled in the online form, outlining my medical problem. As it was not urgent I was not concerned that there was wait for the call from the GP. When the call came the GP was fantastic. She took time to listen to my concerns, was empathetic and willing to help. She arranged an 'advice and guidance' email to a specialist and, as soon as she had the results of that, called me back with a plan. My problems were not serious but she was aware of the impact they were having and pulled out all the stops to help. Thank you

    The management of this Centre is very poor. Staff need retraining . It is not acceptable to keep an ill person on hold for 40 min just to be told ring back tomorrow. I am sure volunteers could be utilised to field some calls taking the pressure off staff.I am more than happy to volunteer, been a coordinator for 30 years

    Can't get through on the phone in under 40 minutes, can't see a doctor for weeks. More medical staff desperately needed (and a couple more telephonists) and still they are accepting new patients. Very polite when you speak to them but try not to get ill any time soon.

    I was unwell with a chest infection. I rang at 8:30am, there was a short holding time but a clear announcement of my position in the queue. I spoke to a very pleasant receptionist who sounded sympathetic about my symptoms and was offered a call back from the doctor that morning. I could hear that it sounded busy in the phone room but nonetheless she was very helpful and kind. The doctor rang about an hour later and again was pleasant, polite and friendly, unfortunately I don't remember their name. I received a prescription for antibiotics which was ready when I arrived to collect them. There was a queue with some elderly people in it and the reception team were very kind to an elderly man who was worried as his bus had made him late for his appointment. I was impressed to be sorted out within a couple of hours of calling. I know how busy and pressured the health service is but I was very happy with the service received. It makes me sad to see hard working staff on the receiving end of abuse when they are all trying their best in an underfunded system. My husband has had to use the e consult system and has found that works well, and we also had a similar positive experience when we took our son in with his chest when he was a baby. Thankyou to everyone at Drayton Medical Practice.

    I had a phone call with a doctor who then saw me that afternoon, he was very helpful in the next steps. I had a blood test a week after this, which I was very nervous about as I hadn’t ever had one before. The phlebotomist was amazing, she made the experience that much better and really put me at ease with it. Awaiting my hospital appointment which hopefully is a positive experience as well. Thank you Market Drayton Medical Practice!

    Called reception 24/10/22__08.30, answered 09.10, told no slots available please call back at 14.00, called back and finally answered at 14.37 ,explained situation (bad viral infection, ongoing getting worse coughing, breathlessness can't eat etc) told to keep 'phone free and doctor would call back, waited by 'phone from 14.45 until 18.45 ,No call .Don't feel too happy at all, not going to bother, will self medicate as far as possible but still not good at all!
