    Appointments generally can only be made before 8.30, waiting time on the phone is about 15-20 mins. However once I have got through I can usually make an appointment some times the same day, some times within 2 weeks - depending on what it is & if I’ve needed to I have made a few appointments up to a month or 2 away. Receptionists are always lovely polite friendly professional on the phone and in person. I get text reminders of appointments & sometimes text follow up info /results texted to me. You can also register online to book apptmnts/see results etc. I haven’t done that yet, but I will. Nurses & doctors I have visited again are lovely polite friendly & professional and have been thorough and helpful. There is however 1 issue that has occurred on several visits - I am seeing the doctors for 2-3 separate things. Often if I make an appointment for x, they ask if I’m here for a test about y. If they recommend coming back in two weeks time for z, I do so but they didn’t realise I was here for z and tell me about x and y. I expect this is just that they are all so crazy busy that they only have time to skim read my notes as the appointment is happening & only write very brief notes for the next thing. Luckily I don’t have any major issues and I keep track of my medical care enough to set them straight about what I am seeing them for, but it does waste a bit of time for them & me. In December I came for a test for y, they did a test for x. The nurse very graciously gave up her lunchtime to give me a second apptmnt the same day to do a test again for y - which I appreciate. It’s a good practice clean bright, with helpful friendly staff - I think like the rest of the nhs - they are coping with the craziness of covid etc doing the best they can.
