Too long to mention but you can not get an appointment or they send u to Felmores. Worse thing about this Surgery is the bad manners of the Receptionists. Some are very very rude, n also keep u waiting outside door, "put a mask on now" why !! I've been told by countless People the attitude at this Surgery has made People go elsewhere. Me n my Daughter were so upset with Long Riding Surgery n nasty bunch of Receptionists that we have moved to lovely Doctors Surgery in Vange. We told Receptionist how we have been treated n she said oh no you definitely will not be treated like that here, safe to say we've Registered n our experience was really pleasant. So pleased to have moved away from your Surgery n the receptionists need training in manners.

  2. Review titled Not a friendly practice

I find you can never get an appointment. Even if you phone dead on 8.30 when the surgery opens, you ask to see a doctor, all appointments have gone! if you think I dont want to waste the GP's time so will ask for a telephone appointment instead, you have to wait a week. Also receptionists are not friendly. You can walk into a hospital nowadays without a mask, a shop, school, even an old peoples home. At Long Riding Surgery you are left standing outside in the cold and having to speak through the intercom. The receptionists can never hear you and you cant hear them. If you are allowed into the surgery the receptionists demand you wear a mask or you cant come in even though there is a large glass panel to the ceiling between the receptionists and patients. However you will note the receptionists dont wear a mask themselves which doesn't make sense to me! Surely they should be the ones wearing a mask as if you are a patient you are the one not well. Also always phone to check the opening times as there is nothing on the main door and if you visit their website and NHS website its says 8.30 - 6.30 - this is not the case. I turned up once only to be told we are shut. The receptionist said if you are a regular you should know the opening times, I said I'm not a regular but I am a patient, I went by what your website says - it turned out they have half day on that day - thinking about it, now I know why there are no appointments when you call at 8.30! It used to be a brilliant surgery say 5 years ago but with the new GPs and management it isn't very good at all and their phone message says if you are rude to staff they will strike you off their list but they are rude to patients - so unfair. If there were other surgeries within the catchment area I would definitely change surgeries but there aren't so they have an advantage over patients and they know it. I have seen people leave the surgery shaking their heads in disappointment or just speechless - you are a burden with this surgery not a person or patient - very sad

  3. Review titled Excellent Service

Rated 5 stars out of 5

I phoned for an appointment on 7th June 2022 and was advised I was in a queue and I could opt for a phone call back whilst retaining my place in the queue. I received a return phone call approx. ten to fifteen minutes later. I was asked what I needed to discuss with the GP and then was told the GP would phone me back later that same morning. The GP phoned me back approx. two hours later to discuss my problem and then made an appointment to see him on the 10th June 2022. This was a seamless and well organised appointment. After reading all the negative reports about booking appointments, I was extremely impressed how the system worked for me. I would like to praise all the staff involved at the Long Riding Surgery.
