  1. Review titled Losing Confidence in Dr Surgery

    by hadares54 - Posted on 20 October 2022

My last two (one for me, one for my child) e-consults have gone past the time they said they would get back to me, the last one I had to chase them for it. I have been on high dosage of anti depressants for the past 7 years but have not had a mental health check up in over 5 years, they just keep prescribing me the same amount every month. Am also on tablets for intercranal hypertension, was discharged from the eye clinic, in their letter they wanted my daily dosage reduced, this was 2 years ago, if not more, still haven’t been seen by my GP regarding this or even had a check up to see if I have any swelling behind my eyes or anything. I am really starting to lose confidence in this doctors surgery and really don’t feel that they are there for the patients. Whenever I try to make an appointment I get told to do an e-consult and then they don’t get back to me until after the time.

  2. Review titled Unsatisfactory standard of care

Rated 1 star out of 5

This practice does not have enough doctors for the number of patients on its books. When you finally get through to reception you are told there are no appointments for weeks in advance and, even then, it will be a phone interview rather than face to face. I was informed I would be put on a waiting list for an appointment (as if my medical condition can be put on "hold" to suit the staffing schedule!) 7 days later and still no contact from the surgery. When I rang back I was told that only emergencies would be given a phone interview and I was actually asked by the receptionist to describe why I was desperate to talk to a doctor! Despite the fact that I was clearly distraught and on the verge of tears at the lack of response, care or level of professional responsibility for patients. I need a referral to a consultant for dementia and yet this apparently does not warrant a prompt response from the practice. Disgraceful.
