Review titled Unprofessional/rude reception staff

On a Friday, I went to the doctor's surgery to inquire about the results of my X-rays. While leaning on the reception desk, the receptionist asked me to refrain from doing so. I found this to be very rude and unprofessional, especially since other people were leaning on the desk without being asked to move away.

Dear Patient. Thank you for your feedback. I am sorry that you had cause to complain about how you were spoken to by the receptionist. I have spoken to the reception team regarding this. We have also now put up a sign against each reception desk politely asking patients not to lean over the desk. From start to finish the visit was very stressful for me. The people working at the reception behaved as if they had to do this job as a punishment. Very unprofessional. It looked like they were meeting for a drink. Very unpleasant. I felt intimidated by them. Terrible experience. I hope someone will sort this out.

I was contacted promptly by the doctor the day after submitting an e-consult and seen. The doctor was very knowledgeable and explained the issue and how to solve it effectively.

Whilst I agree the econsult service can be hard work and sometimes slow reply, it does triage cases well and when you do get a response and see somebody face to face the level of service is really good. The doctors are knowledgeable, conscientious and make you feel listened to, to get the right treatment. The practice has good opening hours and open all weekend so such good availability. I would highly recommend.

I wasn’t expecting much as it was a weekend and so I assumed a locum but the doctor who ran the health check was excellent. She was skilled and caring. She listened well and was personable. A credit to the practice.

Good day I made the appointment, for the phone appointment for today between 11.00 and 3.00pm , soonest appointment for sore back and a referral request that Redbridge Mental Health Association. Has been waiting for since my discharge from hospital on the 21st April 2023. I was in Homerton hospital A@E and yesterday 22nd May 2023. I did my job by submitting my discharge report timeously to yourselves at 8.00am this morning. I will have the original hand delivered on Saturday, at the same time I would like 2 medications available at the pharmacy, Mirtazpine 15mg, I have 7 tablets left, and Salbutamol 1mg/ml nebuliser Solutions, I have 10 left at present. As I told your receptionist if I hadn't been phoned by 4.30 pm I would use Review, as it cannot be changed. Thank you

Everyone I have met or spoken to are extremely professional in their knowledge and manner. They show genuine interest in hearing me out be it just simple regular reviews or specific health questions. Highly commendable given the incredible work load in the system.

This is the worst GP practice I have ever experienced. You can be in utter pain but they not see you directly. Everything has to be through e-consult and they will only get back to you the next day, terrible attitude at the reception.

Two of my son had symptoms and one was seen the other one was ignored. One was examined and that’s it, no advice no medicines came home with nothing. My son asked me why did we even went to gp? His blood pressure was low and no other advice.
