Rang for an appointment today and was told to ring back in 2 days time as no appointments available. Absolute shambles of a practice.

Dear John, thank you for submitting your feedback, you commented that you were unable to book an appointment on the day you telephoned the surgery, I am sorry that we were unable to offer you a routine appointment on this occasion due to the surgery being at capacity. Kind regards.

Review titled Telephone Contact ! What Contact
Rated 1 star out of 5

I was asked to contact the surgery to make a telephone appointment to check up on my prescriptions after 2pm. After 41 minutes listening to a piano my position in the queue was 2 and i am still waiting. How many calls do they deal with?

Dear patient, thank you for your feedback. I am sorry to hear of the delay you experienced whilst calling us, we do have a lot of calls to deal with. We have recently taken on 5 extra members of staff and once trained it should mean patients calls get answered quicker. Many thanks. Head of Patient Engagement.

Review titled Unanswered e-consult
Rated 1 star out of 5
by Anonymous - Posted on 07 July 2023
I submitted an e-consult on behalf of my child, requesting an asthma assessment and treatment plan. The e-consult was received by the Practice but I have not received any response from the Practice. I have been unable to get through by phone. I have visited the Practice in person to request an appointment with the asthma nurse, only to be told appointments cannot be booked directly and that a message would be passed on for the asthma nurse to contact me. This also has not happened. My only option now is to wait 4 weeks for a GP appointment. This is unnecessary and uses a GP appointment that could be used for someone else, as all we need is an asthma nurse review and treatment plan. Very disappointed but not surprised.

Review titled No Improvement

Still a very poor level of support for people who are unwell. Phones always engaged, this very important issue has never been addressed which, in itself, is a disgrace for a GP surgery. No system for urgent appointments and, just in general, a surgery that doesn’t give you a feeling of confidence. Reception has improved a bit, it couldn’t have got any worse, at least that constant unhelpful and confrontational attitude has been quelled, hopefully the rude staff have left or been fired.

Review titled Phone system Useless
Rated 1 star out of 5

I can rarely get anyone to answer the phone. It takes over an hour on hold almost any time you call. I have been number one in the phone queue for almost half an hour at this moment. How can that be working effectively??? Plus - we have to go through two minutes of long voice message every time we call. No need for it any longer and it can’t be best practice to have any answer message that long.

Review titled Practice
Rated 3 stars out of 5

The most recent consultation I had with the practice was excellent but the video consultation two days before was a waste of the doctor’s time and my own as it resulted in no firm conclusion and I had to seek a face to face appointment. But the second appointment proved more positive and helpful.

Review titled Bad service
Rated 1 star out of 5

This must be the worst surgery in Bristol. Most of my time can be spent on the phone only to be told there are no appointments you need to call back tomorrow. Time in the queue can vary between in half an hour to up to 2 hours. Staff are unhelpful and rude. Trying to see my GP is next to impossible for some reason.

Review titled Appalling service

Tried for two days to get an answer via the telephone which is constantly engaged. So I then went to the surgery, apparently only telephone consultations are available and I have to wait over three weeks for this! I explained I needed to see a doctor, the receptionist then asked me the nature of the reason I needed an appointment whilst the other patients were listening and waiting. She said that is the procedure now you have to have a telephone call first. So 3 weeks wait for a consultation via the phone, then how long for an actual appointment, perhaps another 3 weeks? Disgusting service.
