  1. Review titled Great new practice

Rated 5 stars out of 5

by Guy Thomas - Posted on 01 March 2024

Very efficient and helpful staff on reception desk. The nurse who saw me gave me some daily blood pressure checks to undertake and that she would call me in a couple of weeks time.

  2. Review titled Be great if we could get an appointment

Rated 2 stars out of 5

by Anonymous - Posted on 19 February 2024

You are told to fill out an E-consult online to get anywhere (including under 2 year olds) of which it’s not available after normal working hours. Once you have completed this you don’t hear anything for a couple of days, if you miss your callback the only way to phone back is to join the queue which is never below 30 or so people, meaning your on hold for roughly an hour which isn’t feasible when you work full time (that’s without them hanging up on you first). There needs to be an easier more streamlined system to book an appointment.

Good afternoon, We would love to talk to you and work through your experience. our relocation has been impacting on some of the wait times on phone calls so I am truly sorry if this has been inconvenient for you. we closed Wallace house at 6 pm on Friday 16th of February and reopened services at Lea wharf at 8 am on Monday 19th February working across the weekend to ready the new site for patients. we did keep all our services running as usual across the relocation and apologise if we were slower to respond than usual. please do get in touch if you need anything. the call back service is working and you will get a return call if you request one today.

  3. Review titled New premises offer a more pleasant experience

Rated 4 stars out of 5

by Raymond Jackson - Posted on 18 March 2024

As you enter the new premises, which are light and airy, you are greeted by the receptionist with a warm welcome and invited to take a seat in the new, comfortable waiting area. One big plus for me was that I was able to park my mobility scoter in the reception area. The practice still has a problem with the telephone too often ringing thr "busy" tone and almost impossible to speak to anyone,

Thank you for sharing your experience at the new site. I am very grateful for your time to let us know how you got on when you came to visit us. I am particularly pleased to note that you were able to navigate throughout the practice on your mobility scooter. I am sorry That you have experienced a busy tone - someone will be in touch to explore this as our phone lines usually place you in a queue or offer you a call back facility. A team leader will be in touch with you in the next few days to understand your experience.

  5. Review titled Lovely new practice

Rated 5 stars out of 5

I visited the new practice and was very impressed with how it looks. There were a few teething problems but that’s to be expected after the relocation. The doctor was running about 20 minutes late so quite a few patients waiting for longer period of time. But overall the new practice is great! Much better than the old one.

Thank you very much for your feedback. You are certainly right there were a few technology blips in the first few days after relocation as we had to maintain services until 6.30pm Fridays night at Wallace house and then open Lea wharf at 8 am on Monday morning but we managed to see all our patients with minimal delays. The team worked across the weekend to facilitate this. We agree with you the new site is great, spacious , clean and calm. This will allow us to offer more appointments and more suitable space for these services. Thank you for taking time to share your experience with us. I am sorry you had a 20 minute wait. We will continue to review these wait times over the first few months once we have settled in look to understand how we can minimise this in the future.

I am so pleased the GP was able to help you quickly via the e consult service. We are so grateful that those patients who are able use this service and allow our team to help those who do not have access on the phones. This helps us deliver care to everyone safely and avoid lengthy wait time on the telephones. Thank you also for sharing your experience. its great to know this worked so well for you.

Very professional service from the GP, had a telephone appointment followed by an in person appointment on the same day. I was listened too and provided with a comprehensive treatment plan. The new premises were very accessible

  9. Review titled Request for alteration from a tired mum!

Rated 4 stars out of 5

by Anonymous - Posted on 20 February 2024

Generally happy with experience today at the new location. No issues at all with staff/appointment, doctor was great. Just leaving a review to request/recommend some kind of barrier between the waiting area and the consultation rooms. Probably not an issue for the majority of people so of course may actually be an annoyance for anyone else! But my wilful toddler had a great time running out of the waiting area and down the (very long) corridor with all the rooms while I gave chase with my baby in arms. I could’ve done without that part of the experience and would love not having to do that again next time if at all possible. Other than that all good, thanks

Thank you for you kind words and for flagging your experience. Within the next few weeks we have a play table arriving for toddlers and younger children, it was delayed in transit according to our supplier hence not in place when we opened the new site at Lea Wharf. Hopefully this will ensure future visits can be less energetic for you.
