  1. Review titled Very upsetting

Rated 1 star out of 5

Had an appointment with a nurse and I have to say was the worst appointment I have ever had. The lady was rude, disrespectful, ignorant and had a go at me (an adult) for looking at my phone. This has made me want to leave this practice, it’s really really gone down hill in the past few years. Upsetting and disappointing, a complete waste of time.

  2. Review titled Fantastic and polite GP

Rated 5 stars out of 5

Honestly the best GP surgery there is, the staff are always so polite and patient with you. The practice is extremely well equipped and I have only had positive experiences with them. They are quick to try and see you, they don't rush you and fully listen to everything you have to say. They have been fantastic in helping with my anxiety and have the patients of saints. They helped me get a diagnosis after 4 years being misdiagnosed by other practices. They are a great example to the NHS

  3. Review titled Awful appointment and prescription service

Rated 2 stars out of 5

Today i went to pick up my tablet which has been ordered weeks ago to only find half of what I normally get and the pharmacy told me this is because I was did not order it however they only issued me half of my tablets told me to go online and order my tablets and she can’t help me it has to be online … I am a working person and working away from home the last weeks back for one day and have to spend it trying to log in to the system that does not work and to leave and email took me 45 min what about the older people they can’t do that so they will die at home because you keep telling people to use the online form I have and you still send me the wrong tablets I am very disappointed in how this was dealt with today you choose the job you are in, you have to deal with patients, you definitely need to do better as you really upset me and made me feel like it is a burden to help me and you spoke to me humiliatingly then did not return to finish your conversation as I could show them that the system did not work as I took a snap shot , not even sorry there has been a mistake you don’t have to say it was you it might have been the system that was down awful service and then send me a txt to tell me I am up for a review of my medication after I ran out !!! Very bad service !!

I am so sorry that you have felt our service was not up to the standard you expected. I would be grateful if you could email the practice on lambourn.surgery@nhs.net or call on 01488 72299 and ask to speak to the practice manager. I can then investigate what has happened in full. We did have an issue with our online system on the 27th and 28th of March which was outside of our control and meant we did not receive all the online forms that were sent through. That said, we should still be trying to rectify and deal with any missing information coming to light after the system returned to normal. I would welcome the opportunity to look into this further. Many thanks for the feedback. Louise Murray-Clarke. Practice Manager

Totaly disastrous appoitment proces and buyrocratic obstacles to avoid as meny pations as possible. Its insulting to be constantly tod you must fill online form and provide pictures. Its extremly time consuming, specialy for working class who are not allowed phones at production line, it take all day to ping messages between good kniw whoo and my medical problem. Staff is slacking latde and always excouse their lack of action by beiing understaffed, yet shoud b open frim 8 its 8:34 and they arn unable to answer phone.

  6. Review titled Very Upsetting Experience

Rated 1 star out of 5

by Anonymous - Posted on 20 June 2022

It pains me to have to leave a less than positive review of the experience I had at Lambourn Surgery this morning. I have been a patient here for nearly 30 years. It used to be excellent, but now sadly falls very short on patient experience. I had two conditions that I wanted to discuss. I completed the online forms, one for each condition. I never said either were an emergency and I have no idea how you decide what is an emergency or not, and I do not know how you communicate the email/form I completed to the doctor who saw me. I was sent a message on my phone and an email saying I had been sent an email with an urgent message from my GP on it. I opened that email to see I had been given an appointment at 11am. On the online forms I was asked when it would be convenient to see someone if necessary and I had said afternoons after 2pm. Be that as it may, I decided to go to the surgery for 11am. I was there at 10.55am. The computer booking in system which patients use themselves was not working, so I and another two patients, waited at reception for someone to speak to us. A member of staff eventually came to the reception area and talked over the head of the woman on a PC and phone at the desk. I waited until 11.30am to be seen. I had seen the same doctor in May due to severe asthma and this was one of the reasons I needed a further consultation, but having found some tablets myself over the weekend, that I had been prescribed in 2019, the condition had improved slightly, which is why I didn't consider it an emergency, but just needed to ensure I had done the right thing taking the tablets and to ask if there was anything else to do. I have an asthma check booked for 6th July. The Dr was very brusque and when I tried to explain something else about my asthma (a clicking in my chest) she said would I stop adding things in to the consultation, she was the doctor that had to see people in an emergency and she had 40 people to see and did not have time for me to add things in. I can't go into the full details here as there is not enough space but she was so rude to me in the way she spoke, I left in tears. As I left I said to her I was sorry if she felt I was a nuisance asking her questions but that as a patient I did not understand how she had not seen my online forms, that would have answered her questions. She said that was why she was explaining that she was for emergencies only. I was made to feel nothing short of a complete nuisance that should not have been at the surgery at all. As a patient, I have no control over your administrative functions and no understanding of them, but I would have thought it a good idea for the GP seeing a patient to see what the patient had put in the online form. Also, a patient needs to see a doctor because they feel ill. The last thing they need is the doctor's stress being put on to them. Maybe the doctor needs support herself if it means she cannot control how she speaks to a patient.
