  1. Review titled Extremely Rude/Substandard Care

Rated 1 star out of 5

by Anonymous - Posted on 12 June 2024

I unfortunately need to use this GP as they are local, but the reception staff are the rudest staff I have ever come across, not within the NHS, but within any business in any country. They are incredibly dismissive and they have a disrespectful tone. Honestly they are terrible. I have also on occasions been given the wrong medication. I have picked up prescriptions for things we had discussed didn't work or things we had tried before and they knew were not effective. On one occasion I had an injury that the 'non-doctor' they have doing appointments didn't even look at and gave me advice which was against that stated on NHS websites. Honestly, the worst NHS GP I have ever come across, I personally think they should be investigated for the quality of care and service they provide.

  2. Review titled Rude Staff/decline in care

Rated 2 stars out of 5

by Pat - Posted on 11 June 2024

Every time I go the practise the reception staff are patronising and rude. My most recent encounter this afternoon, has prompted me to start looking for a new surgery to register with. I was checked other by the doctor who was friendly and warm. But never took into consideration that regular pain relief (paracetamol) wasn’t alleviating my pain. I was told to continue taking it, I was then sent to the reception for a specimen pot. The receptionist, then informed me those specific pots haven’t been in stock for over a month. I was told would have to, go to the hospital (10 min walk) to collect one. Despite me protesting about this as I was in excruciating pain. I was told “she understands but there nothing that can be done”.I had to then make my way to the hospital in pain to get this. As my pain has worsened since this afternoon, I am now sat down waiting for a call back from a Clinician from 111. I have been with Kings Road Medical Centre for the past 12 years and ever since covid 19 pandemic. The staff there are no longer, caring and do not communicate effectively between themselves and the patients. And as an employee of the NHS I won’t disclose my role. It’s concerning as my GP would be my first point of contact regarding these symptoms during the day not 111

  3. Review titled Careless and rude

Rated 1 star out of 5

by Sandra - Posted on 18 June 2024

Let's start by describing how unempathetic and rude the staff is. I make complaints, which go to deaf ears. I have to request my repeated medication multiple times before my request is approved. The doctor calls using a phone that does not work, and then they say it was me who did not answer. Once you get to see the doctors, they are good, but good luck talking to them from the first contact.

  4. Review titled Unprofessional Staff

Rated 1 star out of 5

by Anonymous - Posted on 03 April 2024

Worst clinic ever, do not sign up for them to be your practitioner. Half of the time their phones do not work, not able to get ahold of a doctor to be seen unless you call 4+ days and email. Very rude reception staff, do not apologize or ever address the service. It’s been the same story for three years that I have been assigned to the clinic, waiting for a slot to be opened up at a different clinic to be honest NhS should take away funding if they can not offer a decent level of service. In past they have sent me to A &E for different antibiotic instead of prescribing a new one, etc. horrible horrible practice and attitude. After I had the above experience received a letter about their staff not accepting 'aggressive' behavior. I was beyond professional in all of my conversations, their staff were leaving the door open saying bad words and arguing about chocolate while I was seen 20+ minutes late for my appointment. NHS should replace the staff and start over in this location.

  5. Review titled Clinic Service and Receptionist Issues

Rated 1 star out of 5

by Anonymous - Posted on 06 September 2023

From my perspective, the receptionist exhibited unprofessionalism, dismissiveness, and unhelpfulness. It's important to note that booking an appointment at this clinic isn't very straightforward, and the receptionist's attitude felt more like suggesting that if you couldn't secure an appointment or were dissatisfied with our services, you should consider changing your GP. Furthermore, I've been advised to receive a series of five injections within a two-week timeframe. I managed to get the first injection, but I've encountered difficulties in scheduling the subsequent ones. The clinic has informed me that there is no one available to administer the next injections, leaving me unable to complete the required series of five injections within the recommended two-week timeframe. Their response has been that they cannot do anything about it, which is concerning given the importance of timely medical treatments. I hope the clinic will address these issues promptly to ensure the well-being and satisfaction of its patients. Additionally, I hope they will improve the appointment booking process to make it more accessible and efficient for all patients.

  7. Review titled Yet another dreadful experience.

Rated 1 star out of 5

by Anonymous - Posted on 06 February 2023

yet once again no one has bothered to put my repeat prescription through. Lady in the chemist was extremely helpful, she managed to track the prescription to find out it had been approved but not sent. So once again that means going without medication for another 4 days. A sorry is not good enough now as it keeps happening to myself and other people, so i don't need to speak to anyone from the surgery. Just speak to your staff to ensure this doesn't keep happening to myself and others.

  8. Review titled Service by receptionists is very poor

Rated 1 star out of 5

by Anonymous - Posted on 10 January 2023

For the past 19 years, I have been booking appointments on behalf of my husband but, suddenly, today they had an issue with me doing so, saying that there was no consent form. I understand the relevance of consent when reviewing results and consultations but not for booking an appointment. Even if this was a new rule, I had spoken to them only a few days ago, again on the behalf of my husband, and they made no mention of any concern of me trying to book an appointment. This leads me onto my next problem- I called the GP to make a booking for my husband regarding a very serious problem and they gave me an appointment in 4 weeks, not at all considering the severity of the issue I was calling about. They then said to call at 8am to book an appointment so I did but then was still not given an appointment. The way that the receptionists deal with patients is unacceptable. They do not listen to what we are asking for and are very inconsiderate and rude. Another incident, about a year ago, was when my daughter needed a medical form filled out and they said that she had to be at the appointment to fuill out the form. I explained that she would not be able to make it to the appointment times they'd offered as she would be at school and asked for a different option. Their response was to ask whether to then shred the form we had given them. The service used to be great a long time ago but, over the past few years, it has been steadily deteriorating.

  9. Review titled Absolutely terrible

Rated 1 star out of 5

by Zenia Chopra - Posted on 05 January 2023

I left a review a few months back and received a response from the Practice Manager to call her back. I called and left a message for her and sent an email too on 22/12/22, still waiting to hear back. This practice yet again messed up my prescription and now I am without my medication as the Pharmacy no longer has it in stock. Such irresponsible behaviour from this practice should not be tolerated and their licence should be curtailed.

  10. Review titled Impossible to book an appointment

Rated 1 star out of 5

by Anonymous - Posted on 20 December 2022

I was unable to book a simple telephone consultation with a GP (or indeed any sort of appointment) through the app, so I called the practice. I waited 45 minutes on hold. When I finally got through, I was told the surgery is only able to book GP and PA appointments on a same day basis. Even if they are non-urgent telephone consultations. I was told to call at 8am later in the week. To call in at 8am to book a non-urgent telephone appointment seems completely pointless and places undue pressure on reception staff to answer the many, many calls they are flooded with as soon as the lines open. It also means that people with urgent and non-urgent queries are left waiting in the same telephone queue. And finally, as someone who works in a hospital, I am finding it impossible to arrange my own healthcare around my job. At least I am lucky enough that my query is not urgent. I feel incredibly sorry for those who are in real need, but are unable to jump through the millions of hoops it takes to talk to a GP.
