  1. Review titled Avoid!

Rated 1 star out of 5

The reception staff are incredibly rude and always make it extremely awkward and difficult to book an appointment. They cross the line when it comes to their role and deciding whether to book an appointment for you. One reception staff member objected to booking me an appointment despite a qualified consultant recommending an appointment in writing. Another incident involved a reception staff member accusing us of not handing them a copy of a document even though we had done so in-person. The reception staff adopt confrontational behaviour. They are unable to discuss matters with you in a way that doesn't make you feel vulnerable i.e. they will make you suffer unless you do what they say. This is not a one off incident.

  2. Review titled Impossible to make an appointment!

Rated 1 star out of 5

by Anonymous - Posted on 09 October 2023

Today I tried to make an appointment by phone as online booking is not available. After listening to a very long recorded message, I choose the option to try to book a none urgent appointment. I waited on hold and eventually I was told that they would send me a link so I could send them a photograph of the lump on the back of my neck. I am not sure how I will manage to take the photo, or if the lump will even show up in a photo, but they said they need a photo to potentially refer me somewhere rather than having to see me themselves. I was told to contact a different option to book an appointment for my other issue. For this I waited on hold for a very long time and when someone finally answered they told me they couldn’t make me an appointment because that was the job of the first person I spoke to who had just referred me to them. What a fiasco! My husband tried last month to negotiate their online booking system and, after a lot of effort, he managed to book a telephone apt. He kept his phone at his side all day on the day of his appointment but it didn’t ring. He later received a message saying that they tried to call him twice and he hadn’t answered so that was that! No appointment for him either. In the end, he walked to the surgery in to try and sort something out. He arrived there at 11 am on a weekday and was surprised to find there was not a single patient waiting or coming and going. It’s possible the surgery was closed that day because it was a training day or, judging by our experience, maybe very few patients are seen in person. I am going to change to another surgery where I hope that it will be possible to book appointments without trying to negotiate all the barriers that have been erected at Kings Corner Surgery. As a patient who has been happy at their surgery for 25 years, I am saddened and disappointed but I can’t risk neglecting my healthcare needs just because it’s so difficult, time consuming, frustrating and unsetting trying to make an appointment.

  3. Review titled Satisfied customer

Rated 4 stars out of 5

My first experience of the surgery back in 2021 was not good. I have to say that it was at the time of the Covid pandemic and so it was a difficult time for everyone particularly in the medical profession. However, I am pleased to say that recently things are much improved in all areas and this is most welcome. However, it would be nice to meet a GP in person, once in a while!

  4. Review titled Just when you think they can't get worse.... they do

Rated 1 star out of 5

if there is a worse run surgery I hope never to encounter it. Reception staff who seem to treat it as a personal challenge never to get you anywhere slowly; doctors you never get to see - its been 3 years since I was allowed to see one. A triage system which is broken and again seems designed to prevent you getting to see anyone - and isnt available over a weekend anyway! My latest encounter with them they couldnt find a blood test they sent me for, then spent 10 minutes trying to convince me I hadnt been to get one when I said I did. Then the receptionist thought it 'unlikely' in her experience I needed to see anyone despite the doctor on the phone from another practice telling me I should. Obviously a receptionist trumps a doctor - if there are any doctors at King Corner that is.....

  5. Review titled Anybody there?

Rated 1 star out of 5

Cannot get an appointment with a GP. They like working from home. Receptionist will send you to various hospitals or clinics depending on your symptons. Dont go there.

  6. Review titled review by patient with parkinsons

Rated 1 star out of 5

by Anonymous - Posted on 25 May 2022

I visited the surgery 2 days ago and asked for my gp to ring me regaring my medicine. I also told the secretary that it was urgent as i did not have any medicine left. it is the 25th May and i have been scheduled for a call on the 1st June. Obviously there is little thought given to the patients comfort or care as without medication life for a parkinsons patient can be pretty awful.
