  1. Review titled Rude Receptionist

Rated 2 stars out of 5

I contacted the surgery as directed by my Midwife, the registration confirmation email from the surgery and my health visitor, to set up my new born baby's appointment. This is my first baby, who is 2 weeks old and suffering with colic and a cold. I was met immediately with the receptionist taking an attitude with my request stating 'we don't work like that here', then told 'baby is not registered on the system' - odd since I had text and email confirmation of it?! I was then told 'the midwives don't work here so how would they know'. What a disgusting attitude to take with a new concerned mum recovering from child birth. Surely the NHS communicate regarding standard practice, or is this surgery special in some way? I've been a patient here since childhood myself but I'm not going to allow them to care for my child and will take us both elsewhere if they can't even hire polite staff!

  2. Review titled Nice practice

Rated 4 stars out of 5

My family & I have been patient’s at this practice for 37 years . There have been a few miserable receptionist over the years but have to say the staff that are at Holly House now & a few I have dealt with at the welling branch over the last few weeks are lovely . The have have been professional helpful & all done with a smile which in these trying times is brilliant. It can be hard to get an appointment sometimes but the staff will try as best they can to accommodate. The Doctors are doing a great job & I would recommend this surgery

  3. Review titled Dirty Practice

Rated 1 star out of 5

I attended the surgery recently and found the waiting room and the toilet to be extremely dirty. I have heard that it is the same at the Welling branch. I assume that the practice employs cleaners but they are obviously not good at their job! Patients who are ill do not wish to come to an unhygienic area. Some of the reception staff need a lesson in manners and how to interact with people which includes making eye contact. I also find it quite intrusive that the reception staff ask what the medical problem is. When asking if a letter that was sent from my hospital consultant had been received I discovered that it had arrived two weeks previously but had not been actioned or seen by the doctor as the receptionists didn’t think it was urgent. I questioned that it should be the GP’s decision but was told the reception staff are trained to make decisions on deciding if incoming mail is urgent or not!!!! Scary.
