I had a face to face appointment on 14th november. The doctor was very good listening to my problem. He did some tests and ask me many questions. I felt this doctor cared and i came away feeling more relaxed. No problems at this surgery.

  2. Review titled Good Patient Care

Rated 5 stars out of 5

After using this surgery for around 40 years and having attended very little in the past I find I am attending more as I grow older. The appointments have always had a positive effect and are never rushed, always given time to ask questions and treated well.

  3. Review titled Telephone call

Rated 2 stars out of 5

My husband had a heart attack at the end of June. He was in an induced coma and Life support. He was in hospital for over 5 weeks. After he was discharged ,a face to face appointment was requested by a Dr. We struggled to get to the surgery ,as my husband could barely walk! When the Dr saw him she was really apologetic, and advised that she hadn't realised he was so frail. Dr advised a home visit would have been in order. All good so far. So when I received a message to advise another face to face appointment was needed,I telephoned the surgery, and was advised it could be changed to a telephone appointment instead. That was fine,it was to be Friday 23rd August. I then received a message on that morning,to advise due to staff shortages the appointment would now be on Tuesday 27th August. When Tuesday came we received a phone call from a Dr. He asked why we needed a phone call,I said that it was the surgery who contacted us to say it was about my husband's blood tests, and were there no details on his records. Dr then advised "oh yes your husband needs another blood test doing". That was fine . I asked Dr about pain and swelling my husband had been having in his groin area, when my husband had the heart attack,it also caused other problems with his kidney's,so we were anxious to see if the pain and swelling could be due to his kidney's..I also queried if it would be okay for my husband to have his booster,as he is now on so much medication. The Dr stopped me in my tracks,Dr advised me to go back to e-consult and fill a request in, apparently I asked too many questions! Dr said he had other people/ patients to phone. To say I was taken aback by this is an understatement. I can't say if the Dr had all my husband's information in from of him, from why he was in hospital, and all the trauma his body went through. We have been with this surgery for over 40 years. ! We are seriously thinking of changing. At least 3/4 different member's of my family can telephone their GP,and have Face to Face appointment's? Why is it so hard to get through to ours? The service has definitely gone downhill. Also why to my knowledge has the surgery on Manchester Road never reopened after COVID.?
