I am very happy how it was done. I feel that it has helped me quite a bit. To be honest I have not stuck to it like glue but it has helped me.

I went along thinking I had an appointment at the surgery my mistake it was suppose to be a phone call . I was very distressed . The door open and The Social prescriber Said she was on her own I immediately broke down . She was very kind we sat each end of the seating and I explained a ittlenhow bad I was feeling . I donot let my family know or friends so I just needed to let it out how bad I felt . She listened gave me advice which I’ve taken notice of was very helpful . I apologised for getting it wrong putting her in awkward position which she handled very well . Thanked her x will wait for her call this week xx Thankyou Anna Oughton

I go to Heyward Rd Surgery to get help on managing my Diabetes, seeing a doctor etc... Because I'm in very good health for my age, I only need to visit Heyward Rd Surgery once a month, always in the afternoon (14:00 hours onwards), so, with the above in mind, I have drawn the following conclusions. Heyward Rd Surgery, when I visit it, is always Clean, and I'm given a warm welcome by the receptionist. I assume, because of Covid, the Surgery manage the appointment schedules so there is never more than two people at a time, waiting in the small reception area, which, in my opinion is excellent. The help and advice I have been given from the staff (Doctors. Nurses. Receptionist etc) working in the surgery (not over the phone) has been excellent, and I believe that the decisions made by the Doctors, Nurses, receptionist etc, are more accurate because you, the patient, are right in front of the person who is trying to help you, and can physically show, or tell the Doctor/Nurse/receptionist etc what is wrong ( the third dimension which technology cannot cater for) In my opinion, Heyward Rd Surgery is verg good, but improvements can be made in other areas. These areas are identified in other parts of this review.

Thank you for your feedback. We have invested significantly in our telephone system, which attempts to match capacity with patient demand at all times. There are times of day, however, which are busier than others and, during these times, it will be more difficult to get through. We do constantly monitor the situation and, if indicated, make further investment in our communications infrastructure.

My appointment was to have a blood sample taken for a routine test. The staff were friendly and efficient. The appointment was on time. The sample was taken with no fuss, no pain and I had no after-effects.

Service has serious access issues. Almost impossible to get through by phone to make appointments. You just don't have capacity to manage the number of p atients you have.

Thank you for your comments. We have a system with staggered access, to allow us to maximise our available resources. We are currently providing just above the average number of appointments in comparison to the rest of the City and will always offer more when possible.

Had consultation with Gp she was thorough and answered any questions I had. I wasn’t rushed or brushed off, she did all examinations necessary. Very professional and a happy person.
