  1. Review titled Simply the best

Rated 5 stars out of 5

by Frances Colclough - Posted on 07 June 2023

I was put at ease and the doctor and nurse were both very professional, explaining everything and not rushing me when I asked questions. The small procedure was pain free and everything was checked and explained as they went along, which is so important. Punctual appointment, clean room etc. One grateful patient!

  2. Review titled Good experience

Rated 4 stars out of 5

I recently contacted the practice for chest symptoms lasting 10 days. I completed a request for appointment online. Was triaged the same day and advised I needed to talk to a GP. They gave me an appt at the Acute Illness GP hub at Woking Community Hospital for the next morning. Prescribed antibiotics and told to go back to GP if not clearing which I did. Face to face assessment in the Hub and follow up appt with GP by phone was excellent. It felt that new processes were in place and my experience was good.

  3. Review titled Minor surgery clinic

Rated 5 stars out of 5

by Liz Smith - Posted on 09 May 2023

I attended the minor surgery clinic. Before the procedure, the details of the op and the aftercare required were clearly explained. A follow up appointment was made at the time. It was a pain free procedure resulting in an excellent result. I was impressed by the treatment and the friendly professionalism of both the doctor and nurse.

  4. Review titled Terrible

Rated 1 star out of 5

by ThisPlaceGetsWorseWithTime - Posted on 20 January 2023

Online is supposed to make things quicker. It is all about efficiency. But for this place you can scrub that out. Requested a Blood test two days later still waiting. The auto form says 3 days for a response, but common you need 3 days to book an appointment for a blood test? The management of this place needs to (re)consider what gp care is supposed to be about. Oh not only that I requested a response to a medicine usage issue - guess what still waiting! This is not what a gp service should be like. Oh and yes before I complained about something - imho the response was poor. With respect, most of the problems that I have encountered are nothing to do with the general pressures the nhs suffers from but rather from second rate local management. It is almost as though this surgery has forgotten that it supposed to be in the business of caring for people in a timely manner. The pandemic and is aftermath are only poor excuses for bad management. The sad truth is that I pay taxes for a service which is inadequate and poor - and there is no recourse or respite from all of this. The partners should be ashamed (ultimately they are responsible). Sure I would be happy to speak to the partners to explain the various frustrations - but guess how easy it is to book an appointment ....

Impossible to arrange an appointment face to face, serious errors on basics such as repeat prescriptions, very slow to deal with all matters... but nice receptionists!

  6. Review titled Never available

Rated 2 stars out of 5

by Antonella Zicari - Posted on 03 October 2022

I have called the practice end of August to book my son’s preschool booster but no answer. I therefore decided to book an appointment through the practice website. I have received a message confirming reception of my request but after one months no one has called back. My husband has then decided to pop in and talk to the receptionist. She first invited us to send a request via website and when we said we had done it already few weeks before without having any feedback she told us they were unable to offer the jab as they do not have enough staff. Still waiting to understand how shall I give my son the jabs he is entitled to have and unfortunately it is not the first time we are in similar situation. I never had too good experience with NHS but I recognise from the pandemic the system has completely collapsed.

  7. Review titled Minor Surgery Excellence

Rated 5 stars out of 5

I had a very small procedure in August 2022. Not only was the Doctor very reassuring and competent, the nurse was great taking my mind off of what was going on! The Surgery room was immaculately clean and, given the warm weather, fairly cool & comfortable. I’ve been a general patient of the practice since 2007 and have always had been treated with respect by staff - even during the worst of Covid, they’re all doing a great job in difficult circumstances. So, in concluding I’d have no problem recommending Heathcot Practice to anyone in the area, indeed I have done so and they’ve signed up and are happy with the service!

  8. Review titled Minor surgery in the doctors surgery!

Rated 5 stars out of 5

Today I had my moles removed using the ,”shave technique”The doctor discussed the procedure in detail and warned me about scarring and infection. He applied a local anaesthetic, shaved off the moles and cauterized the wound. He was assisted by a nurse who put me at my ease and ensured I was comfortable. I felt no pain,in fact I couldn’t feel anything. They put plasters on the wounds, gave me instructions on how to look care for them and the whole procedure only took about forty minutes. I am delighted.Excellent service, especially as it was carried out in my local surgery and I didn’t have to go to a hospital!

  9. Review titled Realistic review

Rated 3 stars out of 5

These reviews appear to have been filtered as I've heard and seen on other sites less than effusive reviews . Yes the staff are hard worked etc . However the booking procedure is a shambles . I filled in a form at 7am and had a response that I was added to duty drs phone list . At 5pm I hadnt been called so I contacted the practice whereupon I was assured said dr had phoned twice . I had no missed calls and my phone was with me all afternoon . Another Dr then phoned back whilst I was back on the phone to the practice to check if they had the correct number . Then the Dr tried again , I didn't have time to swipe the phone to answer before he rang off . I then phoned the practice back up to be told a message would be sent to the Dr to try again . he didn't - just sent me a msg from the practice saying I had missed his calls and that he was going home . The online booking procedure doesn't work as it becomes full too quickly and you miss out on daily appts . to then phone the surgery you are lucky if you are less than number 20 in the queue . The Drs and staff are only as good as the system which is hopeless - capital letters not allowed !!

  10. Review titled Shambolic appointments system

Rated 1 star out of 5

by Anonymous - Posted on 05 August 2022

I logged in at 7:35 this morning put in my request to see a doctor, I was messaged that a doctor would call which he did at 15:36, I asked if I could see a GP he informed me there were no appointments left for today. He said he could make an appointment with a GP at acute medical unit at St Peters, when I attended this the doctor asked why I had been sent there as it’s a ‘Hot Clinic’ for people with temperature or cough. He did however examine me. My complaint is our appointment system at our surgery us very broken and not fit for purpose if patients are having to be sent to St Peters, very very disappointed in the way this has been handled. I appreciate the staff in the surgery work extremely hard to make it work but there is something obviously not
