  1. Review titled Terrible service

Rated 1 star out of 5

by Anonymous - Posted on 22 May 2024

At this surgery, if you have a 10 minute appointment with the doctor they rush you and try to get you out within less than 5 minutes. They all turn up late and then make up excuses saying it’s nothing to do with them personally. Their services are not up to date so you end up booking an appointment with someone who is not available multiple times. If you try to call them and the queue is too long (probably because their system is not up to date), they just hang up on you. Reception is extremely unhelpful and will lie to you. Doctors all have differing opinions. Some of the nurses are very unfriendly. What a terrible practice

Dear Dr. Patient, Thank you for bringing your concerns to our attention. I would appreciate it if you could contact the surgery directly so we can discuss and address the issues you have raised. Our surgery operates on a 15-minute GP appointment schedule, and we are not currently aware of any ongoing issues related to appointment delays. However, we are committed to improving our services and would like to understand your experience better. We recognize that our phone lines can be busy during peak times. To address this, we offer alternative methods for contacting the surgery, including our online consultation service available on our website and the "Contact Us" section, where you can email us directly. I am more than happy to discuss your concerns personally. Please contact the surgery at your earliest convenience to arrange a suitable time for us to talk. Regards, Kim Practice Manager

  2. Review titled Shocking Practice

Rated 1 star out of 5

Absolutely disgraceful that you ring up at 8am and you're 16th in the queue and by the time they answer you can't get an appointment because they've all gone. I never ring the doctors and the one time I need them they can't even fit me in, I asked for a telephone consultation after they told me they had 'ran out of appointments' and they couldn't even do that. I think it's disgusting how appalling that doctors is and something needs to change

Dear Lauren, Thank you for your review. We appreciate your feedback and would be grateful if you could contact the surgery directly to discuss your comments further. We understand that our phone lines can be busy during peak times. To address this, we have provided alternative methods for contacting the surgery, which I would be happy to discuss with you. Regarding the availability of appointments, please note that our GP clinical staff can safely see only a set number of patients each day. When all appointments are booked, our admin team typically offers other services, such as the Pharmacy First service, if your issue can be appropriately managed there. You should have also been offered the practice's extended access, the 111 service, and the local walk-in service. As mentioned earlier, I would be happy to discuss your concerns further if you could contact me directly. Best regards, Kim Practice Manager

  3. Review titled Unable to get any treatment or appointment

Rated 1 star out of 5

by Mark Curley - Posted on 12 March 2024

I had a consultation with the doctor about my ankle so I’m two years ago. I had to wait for an appointment to be sent from the hospital. Eventually I got an appointment then waited for the appointment only for it to be cancelled. I have subsequently been unable to get a doctors appointment to restart the process, it is now two years. My uncle is so painful I cannot walk, even to the kitchen

Good Afternoon Mark. Thank you for taking your time to send us some feedback. I'm a little unsure with how to respond to your comment as I can see that we have had a number of appointments available for you to book today if required. We also have an option for you to be seen at our extended access service this week - appointments outside of normal working hours. I have searched on our clinical system to get further contact detail for you based on the information you have provided, however I am struggling to locate a contact phone number, I would therefore be grateful if you could email me directly on gmicb-mh.hazeldenemc@nhs.net FAO Kim to discuss your issues further. Thanks Kim - Practice Manager

  5. Review titled Abhorrent

Rated 1 star out of 5

by Diane - Posted on 14 June 2022

Took 6 weeks to get my autistic son an appointment with the pediatrician and then as I arrived early for his appointment I got a text saying we had missed our appointment. Apparently the doctor never turned up but they decided to message me at 3pm (10 mins before his appointment) saying I was the one that had missed the appointment.....they even let me book in when I arrived. Now, I am battling to get a phonecall consultation, that should have happened yesterday, for my 15 year old daughter that has a UTI. Worst GP practice ever. Wait up to an hour on the phone, wait forever for a call back and if it miraculously happens you're almost certain to be told you have to go in anyway. Any queries you have and you go in to see them you're just blatantly lied to, to your face. Receptionists do not care one bit.

Hi Diane. Thank you for your comment. I am aware of the issues you encountered regarding your appointment for your son, the issues that rose regarding this appointment have been addressed with the GP you were due to see, I understand that you were given an appointment the following day. Your daughters appointment yesterday was booked for a telephone consultation in which the GP tried to call and identified it as a failed encounter due to no answer, I can see that a telephone consultation has been listed for today regarding your daughters issues. Regarding the issues with contacting the surgery via the phone, we are experiencing issues with staffing levels across all sectors of the practice. This is in hand will be rectified as soon as we can. If you are struggling to contact the surgery via phone we do offer the online consultation service via the surgery website. I am happy to discuss the details of your comment directly if you would like to call me on 0161 241 8039, email nmccg.hazeldene@nhs.net or via the contact us via the website www.hazeldenemanchester.co.uk Thank you Kim McDermott -Practice Manager
