    They only allow you to make appts through the app, and most of the time, it simply says “Due to high patient demand [the surgery] is now closed for new online requests today” (this review system won’t let me use all caps even though the message refers to the surgery in all caps, so had to replace with “the surgery”). I’ve been trying to make an appt for 2 weeks. If you try and go in they tell you that you can only use the app. I don’t need an emergency appt or same day appt, but I do need to follow up on an outpatient appt and I don’t know how I’m ever going to do that if I can never contact them. I don’t mind waiting a couple of weeks, just let me make an appt. I can’t even leave a message. When I do get an appt, it’s a coin toss as to whether you’ll get someone that’s not dismissive. Some drs are very nice. Some are the opposite and just don’t want to deal with you. This review is anonymous bc I’m worried some staff will be even less nice if they see my name. Regarding the app, they say you can sign up with Evergreen, but you can’t actually do anything through that app, you still have to use their app which really isn’t a great experience.

    Having read some poor reviews, I would like to add a more positive review following my recent contact with the surgery. Agreed, one needs patience when calling to request an appointment but I feel that the surgery's system works as it certainly did when I needed help. On this occasion I dialled the surgery at 8 am but the number was engaged until 8.15 when I joined the queue to ask for a call from Doctor. Having given the receptionist brief details of my problem Doctor called me back within an hour and I was given an appointment to visit the surgery that morning. My problem was dealt with in a kind and compassionate manner and Doctor said she would call me in 7 days to follow up. This she did this morning and we discussed the way forward for my treatment. Having heard of the difficulties experienced by friends at other surgeries, I believe that Haddenham are doing a good job under the circumstances.

    After holding for what seemed like an eternity just after 8am I was informed that all appointments had been taken and to call back at 1.30. Not sure how this is possible when people are working?! This was for a phone appt - not even face to face. The receptionist said I could go to A & E if it was urgent. Sound advice indeed. If and when you do get to see a doctor most of them are very good. However it’s pot luck and be prepared to spend hours holding on the phone and to potentially be fobbed off. There either needs to be another surgery in Haddenham or this one needs a major overhaul. I imagine the most concerning factor for most patients is not getting an early diagnosis. Surely this would save the NHS a fortune.

    Phoned up to get an appointment today, I know from experience that you have to have a phone consultation first so wasn’t expecting to get an appointment straight away. I waited 28 minutes with excruciating music blasting my ear drums to be told that I would have to try again tomorrow as all of the phone consultations were already booked. I have two serious life threatening conditions one of which was initially misdiagnosed by the surgery over the phone. In the last two years I have only had one face to face appointment with a Locum who misdiagnosed yet again. My specialist nurse has told me to seek an appointment as soon as possible to put this right. How am I supposed to do that?
