    Requested a repeat prescription in the usual way over a week ago. Still no sign of it. I’ve chased it three times but I get a different excuse each time from a rude and belligerent receptionist. Getting even a basic service from them is like an endurance test.

    I called on the morning of Monday 18th September 2023. Like usual practice I started calling after 8am and the line was busy which is also expected at this time and I kept trying. After 8:20am of constantly calling there were 3-4 occasions where I got through and the line rang out but no one answered. At exactly 8:30am the receptionist answered my call and when I asked for an appointment I was told there are no appointments available which was the case the week before as well and I had waited all weekend to call up on Monday morning for an appointment. The issue is the way in which the receptionist spoke to me. Yes, I was annoyed because even when the line got through no one answered but the call was answered when there was no appointments available. I found that really strange. When questioning the receptionist she advised she was really busy at the front desk. When that usually is the case the receptionist still answers the phone and asks the person to hold. I was disappointed because the call is answered when there are no appointments. The receptionist was extremely rude and replied saying “do you know how busy it is working as a receptionist, have you ever worked as a receptionist at the front desk”!! The receptionist in the end also said if I am not happy then go elsewhere and hung up. My child’s first vaccinations were also delayed due to no one booking me in for them until I called myself and enquired about them after his birth in Feb 2022. The failure in doing so led him to not having one for a specific disease as it was too late to get it done. Terrible service by a GP practice.
