  1. Review titled Appointments

Rated 1 star out of 5

You can not get an appointment at this surgery if you work! They don't offer prebooked appointments and they have made it virtually impossible to get an appointment. You have to go online at 8am to try and book an appointment by 8.03am they are at capacity! I work Monday- Friday and start at 8am so i stand very little chance. When i raised this with the staff i was told you can come into surgery at 8am to get an appointment which yet again i am at work at 8am. I enquired about prebooking an appointment as it's not urgent and does not require a same day appointment and was told they don't offer prebooked appointments. I thought all doctors were now supposed to offer prebooked appointments to fit around patients. On a positive note tho if you have a pre existing condition then they don't stop harassing you as thats all they are bothered about cause that is where they make their money.

  2. Review titled Seriously!!

How am I meant to use the app at 8:00 to request a consultation when I work nights and go to bed at 6:00 am. Tried to explain to the surgery who could offer no alternative? This isn’t good enough.

Absolutely appalling service from this practice. I’ve been chasing a follow up from a query I raised with them for four weeks, total of 5 hours in queue waiting for a response over 4 separate phone calls. They do not respond or follow up phone calls, you can’t get face to face appointments, no follow through on referrals. I’ve asked numerous times to speak to a specific person and no response. Delay in answering phone is due to staff absences, which have been on the answer phone message for over two years. Why haven’t they instigated staff management protocols to deal with this over such a long period of time. It’s almost impossible to get through to them via phone. There is a complete disregard to patient wellbeing - an absolute joke!!!

  4. Review titled Appointment system a complete failure

Rated 1 star out of 5

I have tried all day yesterday to use online system but was full. Tried ringing and stayed in queue system for over an hour and call was cut off. I am trying to get a doctor to see my 92 year old father but to no avail. It is an absolute joke why when was Mallings could get through straight away. I cannot keep driving over which takes me an hour to go to reception and may I add never any patients waiting to be seen. My doctors I never have a problem can get through with five minutes. Someone needs to sort this mess out its obviously not working. Really angry

  5. Review titled Probably The Worst Practice in The Country

All calls are answered by a central telephony team so it takes forever to speak to someone. It’s not unusual to call and get an automated message saying you are number 70 in the queue. Then when you do speak to someone all appointments have gone. As an “improvement of the service they offer” you can no longer call the surgery to discuss prescription issues. This has to be done online. However their new online system doesn’t actually give you an option to ask for someone to contact you about your medication. Finally, they have just introduced another “service improvement” whereby if you want to book an appointment, it has to be done online. A process that took me over 15 minutes. Their website does say if you are unable to complete the request online you can call the telephony team who will do it for you. So I tried doing that, but the reality was far from what the website says. When I called the telephonist just told me I had to do it online. I would avoid this practice. I’m lucky I am now registered with another practice, who are excellent.

  6. Review titled Poor service

Rated 3 stars out of 5

Now that the surgery has merged with two other surgeries and the calls are being answered by a telephony team it’s near impossible to get through to speak to anyone. When you do you’re told they have no appointments left and call back again 8am the next morning all for the same thing to happen again. I know so many people need to seek medical advice but I feel this has made it worse for patients to get an appointment to speak to a dr/nurse. I feel we should be able to book appointments online again and be able to see drs/nurses face to face again.

  7. Review titled Great Bridge practice

Rated 1 star out of 5

After receiving medical advice with regards to extremely high blood pressure from a occupational health staff nurse to go and see a doctor straight away, because I was in a different area I called at Great Bridge Health Center to get my blood pressure rechecked, and I was turned away - if I wasn’t a patient they weren’t interested is exactly what I was told, and shut the door on me
