  1. Review titled Really difficult to get an appointment

Rated 1 star out of 5

by Upekha - Posted on 24 April 2024

My mum was having sever shoulder pain which propagates to her neck. So we called this Gp center at 8 to get an appointment on the day. They took ages to come back to us. And even worse they could only book an appointment with a physio in a weeks time. Absolutely ridiculous!! We cannot see a Gp of pur choice, and bot even on the same day. Please don't register at this GP center!!!

From reception to doctors, this surgery is always polite and helpful. Nothing is too much trouble for them, always caring. I feel very lucky

  3. Review titled The doctor I saw was excellent

Rated 4 stars out of 5

by Anonymous - Posted on 08 December 2023

I sent a message outlining a health problem to the practice on Patchs, as a result of which a receptionist phoned me and an appointment was made for 6 December pm. The doctor I saw, it's a shame the rules prevent me from naming him on here, was excellent. He read my history, he asked lots of questions, fully understood my concerns without brushing anything aside, and a plan was made for my care. All in all, it was a very good experience.

  4. Review titled Worst GP ever

Rated 1 star out of 5

I had a phone medical appointment to order my prescriptions as I need medication daily. The doctor never sent the order to the pharmacy. I booked a new face-to-face appointment, and the doctor only sent the prescription for one of my medicines. I had to call them several times until they sent the other one, but they only gave me pills for a month. As advised by the pharmacist, I had to call the GP again to request the doctor to edit and resend the prescription to provide me with medicines for three months. They told me they will pass it to the doctor, but they didn’t do. Finally, they refused to do so, even if they could, and asked me to call back in December. This means I will have to pay double for my treatment as I will need to pay again for my medicines.

  5. Review titled Excellent and highly recommended GP

Rated 5 stars out of 5

best professional and kind doctors ever. It's a shame you don't allow us to mention names here. very professional, accurate doctors, generous offers interpreters, never cheap in referrals or tests. when I count my blessings, I count them twice. I have been their patient for more than 7 years now, after covid I developed multiple health issues and disabilities, and needed so much health care, and being a refugee alone without a family made it more difficult but gp direct made it way easier for me, I felt like I have a family here, not only a gp. during the past 7 years, gp direct doctors have always treated me with respect, kindness, and a high level of professionalism. they are brilliant gps with high accuracy in diagnosis. most of my friends, neighbours and clients whom they live in north west have changed thier gps and moved to gp direct after they saw the level of health care I have been receiving, and I can proudly say they are all very satisfied patients now. before getting sick, I was working as an interpreter, I translated in various hospitals and gps across the uk, so I can easily distinguish the brilliant gps. unfortunately, after covid, we lost many of our brilliant gps, but we are lucky to still have gp direct. I hope they will always keep the great job they have been doing since 2002, and I believe gp direct must be prised by the nhs for the amazing and unique work they do.

  6. Review titled Shameful practice

Rated 1 star out of 5

When my hospital specialist write a letter to the GP prescribing me new medication the GP never reads the letter so every single time I have to phone up to ask them to do it and this takes up hours becasue you have to wait on hold for up to 1 hour each time and sometimes the reception answers and then hangs up on you so you have to start again. Even if you try and do it on patches it’s like tossing a coin. Sometimes they do it but sometimes they don’t and you still have to phone them up again. Why can’t they just do their jobs and read the letters? I will be changing to a better practice

  7. Review titled Excellent practice with one big caveat

Rated 4 stars out of 5

Cannot fault the practice but be aware that if you live near the Eastcote Lane surgery many of the services are not available there, you are expected to attend the Welbeck Road surgery, which is a drive or lengthy walk away.
