  1. Review titled Poor aftercare

Rated 3 stars out of 5

I had cataract surgery 7 February. Great care..very happy with result too. I was told the second eye surgery would be performed end of March. As I hadn't heard I rung to enquire and was told it would now be sometime in May(hopefully). I am really struggling with my unequal vision. So upset about putting my life on hold for an extended period.

  3. Review titled A well run practice.

Rated 5 stars out of 5

by John Wilson - Posted on 03 January 2023

My family have been with Gayton Road for over a decade and I've always found them efficient and helpful. My mother-in-law was taken ill recently and had to come to live with us - the reception staff were great at guiding us through moving her to the practice, and the GPs and practice nurses we then dealt with were just as good. The reviews here all seem negative (and rather whiney) but having heard family stories of other practices around the country in the current NHS crisis, I can see that Gayton Road is an excellent practice.

  4. Review titled Poor communication

Rated 2 stars out of 5

Saw a physiotherapist....bad mannered to say the least. Didn't introduce himself,I sat waiting whilst he looked at the computer screen. I began to wonder if he was a GP so had to ask. Still didn't give me his name. I ended up telling him what I had googled and thought the problem could be ! I was then emailed a link for exercises for said condition . Not once did he crack a smile or show any particular interest in how it was affecting my life. I was made to feel as if I had wasted his time ..

  5. Review titled Disgusting attitude

Rated 1 star out of 5

by Mr J Wright - Posted on 02 December 2022

As I write this I am extremely disappointed and shocked by the attitude shown to me by the receptionist at Gayton road surgery who after I rang up to ask to see a doctor about a lump on my neck refused this basic requirement and then proceeded to hang up on me even though I was trying to explain my situation…I find this behaviour disgusting and totally unprofessional and I will be taking this further…I have never in my life encountered such a derogatory and insensitive attitude…I literally have no words for this disgraceful and totally uncalled for attitude

  6. Review titled Unable to obtain medical assistance

Rated 1 star out of 5

by Anonymous - Posted on 29 July 2022

my elderly mother recently had a trip to A/E and then required a doctors appointment where medication was prescribed. This week she tried to contact the surgery to have the medication reviewed and was on hold for over an hour then finally told to call back in the afternoon. On going through the same procedure she was eventually told that emergencies only and to call back tomorrow. it was not possible to leave a message or make a future appointment. The level of service seems to have broken down completely without having any kind of fall back in place.
