Since Feb I've taken one of my children a few times, each time completing the online form in the morning and receiving an appointment for the same day. Each time the doctor completed a thorough assessment and made my daughter feel comfortable. Prior to the online form being introduced, ringing up at 8am for an appointment was not so great, as I am on the school run at that time and often had to call back the next day as no appointments left so I do prefer the online form process - no awkwardness when having to tell the receptionist your symptoms either! Reception staff are professional and pleasant and not really had too much of a delay when waiting to be seen at the booked appointment time. Since joining this practice 18 months ago as a family we have had a number of appointments for various reasons in that time and our experience has been good, especially now I don't have to have my son redialling 2 phones, whilst I drive, at 8am in the hope one gets through and we are lucky enough to get an appt! Saw the Dr Today as emergency he was very thorough , polite had no issues from completing the on line form to seeing the GP. I am very happy with the surgery. Thankyou

I can't really leave a review about the practice as I've only actually managed to get an appointment once with the GP in the last 2 years since registering with the practice. Looking at so many previous review ls about the same problem it seems unlikely the management are ever going to be proactive and look at ways to improve this. It's a shame it can't be run better as actually the staff seem nice, my one and only GP consultation was good and the nurse who I have seen a couple of times is brilliant!

This situation has just got to the point where we will have to change surgeries. The Doctors and nurses at Firdale are good, but it is more or less impossible to see them. Calling every few seconds at 8am for 45 minutes and still getting a busy tone, every day for a week is an absolute disgrace. My partner is seriously unwell and would not be able to do this herself. We still have not seen a doctor and have given up. The practice do not seem to care.

In any other situation, you would receive an apology for being so late. Bear in mind, if the patient was this late they wouldn't be seen. Of course, towards the end of the day time has built up, but my appointment was at 9.50 and I still haven't been seen at 10.36! There was no approach from staff to explain or apologise. You cannot buy time and we should always respect other people's. But here they show no regard.

I have had excellent treatment. The reception staff were very helpful .The GP I saw was very attentive and understanding .I was referred for my scan and physiotherapy both were done within the week.I would be more than happy to recommend the practice to my family and friends.
