After a prolonged flare up with Rheumatoid Arthritis I had an appointment with Dr Mayet his knowledge on the subject and also his understanding of the symptoms is second to none . After starting the drugs he prescribed I feel I have been given a new lease of life. My children and grandchildren think is amazing that I am now much more mobile and thankfully pain free. My heartfelt thanks to you for all your help and support .

I see Dr Mayet today was met in waiting room with smile & handshake after telling him my problem he examined me & explained what he diagnosed answering all my questions fully and gave me options then promptly referred me for tests to see what's upwith me he also gave me print-out to further read about what he had said He really cares deeply about the people he sees

Joined this practice 3 months ago first impression was I had gone back to the 1950s everything about fern house is stuck in a time warp the facilities are run down dirty and dated uneven flooring covered in scruffed lino no dedicated waiting room access is restrictive for the less able the list could go on, the services provided are limited for instance no facility to do on site bloods surely a given in the 21st century, the pharmacy does not appear to run the same software as the GPs reception so patients have to shuttle between the two relaying sometimes complicated medical information with resultant errors occuring, GPs seem to be patient adverse in one consult the GP at no time faced the patient and spent the whole time avoiding eye contact and made an asset of being offhand, finally the receptionists bring a whole new level to the art of obstruction, curt, dismissive, put upon the appointment system is designed to offer the longest possible wait time without actually breaking government guidelines the whole operation needs bulldozing and consigned to the past where it belongs why on earth a town the size of Witham has to rely on such facilities is a disgrace to the town/district/ county council's members who should be beating down the doors of the Dept, of Health newcomers to the town should be stopped from signing on and existing patients as they leave not replaced so that it does what some of its patients no doubt will do and die a death do not sign on it's a dreadful place

Caring practice with efficient processes and some great doctors. Adapted well to the demands of the pandemic. Doctors make time for patients.
