Phoned for an appointment directed to the new triage form to complete online. Completed the form advising I'd tried over the counter medicines for my symptoms for the past two weeks with no relief. Within an hour message sent to say it's a minor ailment it does not require a doctor and to visit or call my pharmacy. I've visited the pharmacy and taken medicine from the pharmacy for the last two weeks and it's worse hence I've contacted the doctor!!!

Thank you for your feedback. The pharmacy do have a new service where they can now prescribe antibiotics in certain cases, this means some patients can be treated at the pharmacy under this new scheme. If we have referred you to the pharmacy, the pharmacist will contact us if they can not treat your condition. If you could please contact the practice, I can look into your specific case and advise you regarding the triage decision in more detail and investigate whether you were referred appropriately to the pharmacy.
