  1. Review titled Medical side fine but long waits

Rated 3 stars out of 5

by Anonymous - Posted on 22 January 2024

The doctors and nurses etc are good. I was frustrated that I couldn’t get a home visit when I was very ill and had to get a taxi and try not to throw up in it, but the care I did get was very good. The frustrations lie with the long waits to see a GP (common now everywhere I think) and issues with phoning up. It’s nigh on impossible to get through if you need a same day urgent appointment and there is a recorded message lasting 2 and 1/2 minutes about covid still when you ring up (plus another shorter recorded message).

  2. Review titled Understanding

Rated 5 stars out of 5

I’ve just joined this practice, and so far the service has been exemplary, I’ve had lots of support after the death of my sister from the staff, and the Gp and others on the team have shown a real interest in my health, and well-being.

  3. Review titled Excellent treatment

Rated 4 stars out of 5

by Sharon - Posted on 12 January 2024

As a long standing patient of the practice I can not praise them enough, my recent doctors consultation both addressed my concerns, and referrals were made in good time. The doctor listened to my concerns with genuine empathy, I felt supported and reassured throughout my consultation without being rushed or feeling like a number, great human touch. Really greatful for their support.

  4. Review titled Uncaring GP

Rated 2 stars out of 5

by Valerie Kaczurynski - Posted on 04 December 2023

Finally managed to get a face to face appointment with a GP. A locum I believe. Had burning pains in my foot. The Gp did not even look at it, seemed not interrested and Di not ask me any questions other than what were the scars on my foot. When I told him it was a morton neuroma operation, he said and deductedin that case It was likely to be a neuroma and refered me to ultra sound scan. I knew it was not a neuroma as the pain I experience was different. That consultation was a waste if time : no questions, no assessment, not looking at the area and a complete lack of apathy and interrest in patient.

  5. Review titled Terrible practice

Rated 1 star out of 5

by Anonymous - Posted on 14 December 2023

I had blood tests done early November, by the end of November I had heard nothing about the results. I contacted the practice through their website for more information. They sent me a text message with date for an appointment, and another text message with advice on vitamin D supplements. I attended the appointment today and when I arrived the reception staff didn't have any record of the appointment, even when I showed them the actual text message I received. I still don't know the results of my blood tests.

  6. Review titled Appalling booking system

Rated 1 star out of 5

Over long phone message directing you to do anything but speak to anyone. Website anything but counter intuitive. Quite the worst reception service I have come across. It took me from August to November to get a cholesterol test and result. Both nurses I met with were both very good. Personable and efficient. The process to get to this point, just dreadful and it has got so much worse since the 2 practices merged.

  7. Review titled Excellent practice

Rated 5 stars out of 5

The practice is well organised, thorough, friendly and welcoming. My experience of admin staff and medical staff has been very positive. I recently had a health concern that needed urgent investigation and the GP arranged this swiftly so that I was seen very quickly and she explained to me what would happen. She was approachable, understanding and communicated very clearly throughout.

  8. Review titled Cannot contact them!

Rated 1 star out of 5

by Anonymous - Posted on 10 November 2023

Do not join here if you work. You wait ages for them to answer the phone. So long that you cannot do it in working hours. Great, they have an online form I can fill in. Oh! It is only available during working hours even though it is for non-urgent contact. How is this providing a service?

Dear Patient, Thank you for your feedback. We provide multiple ways for patients to contact us, by phone, in person and the online form which is open from 7am-12pm and 1pm - 4pm. The phones lines can be busy first thing at opening and during lunch but at other times you shouldn't have too wait too long for one of the team to answer your call. regards Chorlton Family Practice

  9. Review titled Not fit for purpose

Rated 1 star out of 5

by Anonymous - Posted on 22 January 2024

After nearly 2 months of illness - approx 1 month with a virus then a month of post viral fatigue and still feeling ill I contacted the surgery via their get-help section. In my message I explained that I was still unwell and wanted to know whether it was likely to be simply post-viral illness or could I still be infected. I also wanted advice about whether I should have the covid vaccine when unwell. The doctor's response was to wait another month then he would consider a blood test. My other question about the vaccine went unanswered. I am 73 years old, and I don't think a simple blood test to rule out infection is too much to ask. I had been treated at Wythenshawe hospital initially in November who had found abnormal blood results indicating infection, and had prescribed a course of antibiotics. Being told to wait another 4 weeks I think is shocking. They could at least have phoned me to check how I was & what my symptoms were.

  10. Review titled Great practice

Rated 5 stars out of 5

by Anonymous - Posted on 14 January 2024

Been with this gp practice a long time but would never change. Great doctors. Prescriptions always ready on time. I filled an online form out and got a reply within 24 hrs and booked in for investigations. I've always found the staff to be helpful and knowledgeable. And also look after my elderly mother extremely well.
