I have recently suffered an episode of shingles and have needed to contact the surgery on numerous occasions for help and support. Each time the reception/pharmacy staff have been polite, helpful and treated me with patience and understanding through what was a difficult time for me. I am very grateful being a patient of the Chipping Surgery.

The Chipping Practice is a great example of an excellent practice meeting the needs of its patients. Today I sent in a photo of my health problem, it was reviewed by the duty GP, avoided me visiting the practice, prescription sent through. Such an excellent service Thank you for your care

I recently booked a face to face appointment and I am writing this to give praise for the excellent service I received. The receptionist went out of her way to find a suitable appointment for me which would accommodate my complex health issues. The GP treated me with care and respect and made me feel at ease. All the staff at the Chipping Surgery are very professional and extremely helpful and work together as a team. I am grateful to be a patient of the Chipping Surgery and would happily recommend the practice to others.

GP visit in person. She was wonderful, had a great sense of humour and her warm understanding approach immediately put me at ease. I felt listened to, was examined thoroughly and we discussed a test/treatment plan going forward. When I left I had a sense of relief that my ongoing care was in safe hands.

I am so grateful for the service that this Surgery has given me over the years, especially since the loss of my wife three years ago. Nothing seems to be too much trouble for your team and there are a good variety of methods in which to receive help even when appointments are unavailable. The E consult form is highly efficient and phone enquiries are dealt with promptly. I am incredibly impressed so thanks and congratulations to everyone.

The Chipping surgery is nothing short of excellent. The doctors are thorough and attentive, the receptionists are approachable, sympathetic and helpful and the pharmacy is efficient and knowledgeable

I attended the Chipping Surgery's joint flu and Covid clinic on 31st October 2022. Considering the purpose of the vaccinations is to protect people against the worst effects of two airborne viruses, I was shocked that no-one in the surgery involved in the vaccination clinic was wearing a face mask to protect against the spread of these viruses. Unforgivable that healthcare staff working in a vaccination clinic within a healthcare setting are not wearing ppe to prevent the spread of the diseases they're vaccinating against! By contrast, at one of the large vaccination hubs all staff wear appropriate ppe and all visitors are requested to wear facemasks. I felt far more reassured that the staff at the vaccination hub were aware of the appropriate disease prevention measures for an airborne virus, and reassured that my safety was being taken seriously. The decision not to require healthcare staff to wear facemasks at the Chipping Surgery shows a disregard for disease prevention measures and a disregard for vulnerable patients, and in my opinion needs to be reviewed. On a more positive note, the staff were very pleasant and helpful.

Dear Anonymous Thank you for your comments and for highlighting your concerns. As a practice we have always followed NHS England’s advice about PPE use. https://www.gov.uk/guidance/covid-19-information-and-advice-for-health-and-care-professionals When planning our vaccine clinics and running our surgeries we carry out risk assessments and will review this regularly based on both local and national guidance. The latest local guidance is that masks do not need to be worn. The vaccine clinics are for seasonal boosters of Covid so by default all the patients attending should have completed their primary course of vaccine and all our staff are fully vaccinated. We ran the clinics in fully ventilated rooms, including use of the fire station and they were run efficiently so there was minimal queuing which meant time spent at the surgery waiting was never more than several minutes. All our staff are happy to wear masks if requested to by patients who feel more vulnerable, and we have posters up to that effect. If you would like to discuss your concerns further, please do not hesitate to contact me. Thank you for your positive feedback regarding our staff I will pass it on to all concerned. Thank you so much for your positive feedback. The team here at The Chipping Surgery put a huge amount of effort and commitment to ensure the annual vaccination programmes are delivered to as many patients as possible in a convenient and prompt way. This is the first year we have attempted to give both Flu and Covid we even added a quick MoT health check to those we hadn't seen for a while, a lot going on in a short space of time! Therefore, your feedback is particular important to our team this year, thank you very much for taking the time to post your comments I am sure this will give all our staff a boost at a very busy time of year.

I went in for a covid booster and flu jab. The staff were friendly and kindly got me a seat when I told them I was nervous of needles. They administered the jabs quickly (and painlessly, though my fear is all in my head) and I was out of there about 60 seconds later. Brilliant, they were so nice. Thank you everyone for looking after me in the short time it took.
