First time coming to ching way medical centre and i was shocked. The way i was spoken to by the Doctor was disgusting and disrespectful i become very anxious he made my anxiety levels go up. Then told me there is nothing what they can do horrible experience. The doctors are there to help us patients not make us feel worse in any way or form.

No matter what day or time I call I am forever told there are no appointments for the week or following 2 weeks. The receptionists are rude and just have no skills on how to co.municate with patients. I have been a patient there since the practice was built and this is the very worse I have seen it! I was told today there are no appointments for 2 weeks so ring 111 or go to casualty. How disgusting is this?

Dear Patient, Thank you for your feedback. I’m sorry to hear that you are disappointed with gaining access to the appointment system. Currently we are unable to pre book appointments for the next 2 weeks due to a shortage of doctors leading up to the Easter bank holidays and the 4 day junior strikes in the month of April. We offer between 100-120 appointments daily and when these are filled reception staff are advised to follow the protocol and signpost patients to other NHS services such as the pharmacist, 111 or A&E based on the clinical need and urgency. We also offer a Saturday service at a nearby practice working alongside the Primary Care Network and this is another option that could have been offered to you. Staff will be reminded of the importance of providing good customer service and communication. I‘m sorry you feel this was not provided to you and this will be addressed at the next practice closure training day. If you require medical assistance, please contact the practice on 0208 430 7020 or complete an e consult via the practice website. If you would like to discuss this further please do not hesitate to get in touch and ask to speak with the Practice Manager. Regards Ms Shirley Stewart Interim Practice Manager
