    I waited over 2 hours to get through to reception, only to get straight through when calling from a different phone - this, I tried 3 times, with being put into a queue of 15 people. I sat at places 5, 2 and 1 for 30 minutes each time, and no apology for the inconvenience when mentioned to the receptionist. I work as a paramedic and this is the exact reason people give up and don't get themselves looked over by their GPs and instead call the ambulances when their conditions get worse. This is the cause of the failings of the NHS system. I'm just glad I didn't have work today. I have already waited 3 weeks for an appointment, 2.5 hours to get through to the receptionist, and now I wait another 2 weeks for blood tests. This is ridiculous. For a town of 4 thousand, I'm just thankful I am not vulnerable or have dependents. Disappointed.

    Dear Patient Thank you for your feedback – we are very sorry to hear that you had difficulty getting through to the surgery. Unfortunately, the surgery experienced an unprecedented and significant issue with the phone lines and network connections. We worked very hard with the engineers to rectify this and we publicised the problem on our practice website, social media page and put an introductory message on the phone system advising of the technical difficulties. Our practice list size is approximately 8,500 patients and all of our staff work hard to ensure that we provide the best possible service for our patients. Hopefully you will appreciate that there are sometimes circumstances outwith our control that can make it difficult to provide the high standard of care that we aim to achieve.     Phoned 8 am Monday morning and spoke to doctor before 9 am and my husband had an appointment at 10.15 am Excellent
