  1. Review titled Terrible - except for the nurses

Rated 1 star out of 5

Completely inflexible practice with incredibly condescending and patronising reception staff. Turned away from an empty waiting room for being 3 minutes late to an appointment. Now have to make an hour long round trip to Cheltenham Hospital to spend 30 seconds there having blood taken. At least I can rely on them despite them being magnitudes more busy than the GP surgery. Experience of the various GPs has also not been good for a long time. A waste of time. The nurses are wonderful. You just have to make it past the patronising and entirely unhelpful staff at the front desk to see them. Good luck.

  2. Review titled Great practice and lovely friendly nurse

Rated 5 stars out of 5

I had blood tests on Tuesday. The nurse i had that did it was absolutely lovely. Full of energy. Had a lovely chat with her about her dogs. She told me everything that i was being tested for. Was pretty much on time too. Was a bad and hard day when i had my blood tests and she definitely put a smile on my face and made me have a laugh. Definitely a credit to the surgery. Absolutely lovely lady. Definitely helps to have a chat.

  3. Review titled Fabulous support staff

Every time I have had cause to call the surgery the help received from the reception team has been amazing. They always go over and above and managed to rectify a prescription issue within 2hrs. They really are a credit to the surgery.

  4. Review titled Vaccination experience

Rated 4 stars out of 5

by Natalie Groome - Posted on 15 December 2022

To whom it may concern, I bought my little boy in on Tuesday 13th for his pre school vaccinations. I would like to pass on a heart felt thank you and appreciation to the lovely kind nurse who we saw at 3pm. She was so welcoming, lovely and calm and talked us both through the process (I was a tad nervous!) she was so friendly and made the appointment actually enjoyable and gave my little boy a certificate and sticker for being brave. I would be grateful if this could please be passed on to her and her manager as recognition for her professionalism and excellent bed side manner. Kind regards Ng

  5. Review titled what a discraceful shambles

Rated 1 star out of 5

by Mr P Cohen - Posted on 24 September 2022

requested to attend for covid/flu jabs today Saturday 24th sept. Arrived at 12.30 and waited 30 mins in huge que with disabled wife after we could no longer stand up we left to return later, hoping it might be a little quieter. Arrived again at 3.30 only to be told no more jabs today. We were just one among many turned away who will not get our jabs. No organisation or consideration asking old and infirm people to que down a cul-de-sac for ages. No parking facilities, no space, nowhere to sit. I dread to think what would happen if it was cold and wet today, covid/flu vaccine with added cold and pneumonia. What is the Vale for? After all it has only got plenty of parking, space and shelter available. Whoever organized this chaotic, irritating and stressful mess needs excommunicating, [polite version of what I really would like to say!]

  6. Review titled Excellent treatment and care

Rated 5 stars out of 5

by Helen - Posted on 28 August 2022

I was triaged by a fantastic nurse who I found to be absolutely amazing on Friday , she was caring considerate and very informative she helped me through a very difficult time when I was in a great deal of pain with a abscess to my mouth from a previous tooth extraction, my dental surgery refused to offer after care and I did not know where to turn, with her advice and The dr who was on that days expertise they managed to sort a follow up for me . What a fantastic team they are, not sure what I would have done without them, absolutely incredible. Thank you , even though the dentist did not see me and refused I did end up in Aand E but with my Doctors doing such an amazing job I was not disappointed with there compassion or their dedication towards me.

  7. Review titled Trying to get an appointment over the phone

Rated 2 stars out of 5

by Malcolm Taylor - Posted on 23 August 2022

I rang the reception on 12/08/2022 to arrange for a blood test, for which I would have to go to Cam as they no longer offer this service at their Uley Surgery. I rang at Reception at 14:36 and was cut off after 8 mins. I rang again immediately and had to wait over 2 hours before reception answered. When I finally got through the appointment was arranged for the 16th and the results of the blood test became available on 23rd August. I have no complaint about the speed of the medical service, but having to wait over two hours to get an appointment is very poor. It compares very unfavourably with the service I used to get when working in Tanzania, Nigeria and India before that. By the way, I have the relevant detailed phone records from my i.t. supplier.

  8. Review titled Brilliant team particularly in an emergency

Rated 5 stars out of 5

by Debbie - Posted on 10 August 2022

I attended the surgery today fit and well to have a routine blood test. Upon leaving the surgery I suddenly felt very unwell, shaky, chest pains, racing heart. After staying for a few minutes in my car and not feeling any better I returned to the surgery to explain how unwell I felt and by this time anxious. The receptionist was absolutely brilliant, she recognised immediately I needed medical help, within what felt like seconds a medical team was attending to me, got me into the treatment room, an immediate aspirin administered and ECG undertaken. Throughout this time the receptionist held my hand and was reassuring. Fortunately all tests were normal and after half an hour or so I felt much better with my heart rate down, pulse returning to normal and chest pain subsiding. I wish to say a big thank you to the team who assisted me this morning - you were all brilliant.
