Saw GP last week. What a lovely, thorough, caring and helpful GP. She made my experience very positive, listened empathetically and gave me a thorough assessment and a helpful plan of action. I was very happy with the consultation. Thank you :)

  2. Review titled Awful

The triage service is the worst thing the surgery introduced Much easier when you rang at 8 30 spoke to a human got an appointment filled out the triage on line had a text to call regarding appointment tried over 48 times constantly engaged Had a text to say my appointment had been given to someone else as i hadnt called ! I had and couldnt get through so try again today The nhs is over stretched because things that could be dealt with by the gp are being left to get worse so people ending up in a&e

  3. Review titled Impossible to get an appointment - flawed system

Rated 1 star out of 5

The online triage service is always closed and no longer accepting appointments. I tried at 8.32am today and all appointments already gone. I can't book an appointment in the future and I have to call over 100 times over an hour an half to speak to someone to tell me no appointments, try again tomorrow. I've been trying for days. It's exhausting, how on earth are you meant to get an appointment? Only if its an emergency will she bump me up the list.

  6. Review titled Very Poor Service From A Receptionist

Rated 1 star out of 5

by Mrs S McLaughlin - Posted on 23 March 2023

Having been quite unwell over the last 24/48 hours, and as my symptoms didn’t appear to be improving I resorted to calling my surgery this morning to try and speak to a doctor/clinician. I looked at the practice website beforehand so I knew exactly what the process was in regard to making an on the day (urgent) appointment and so called at 0800hrs (as per the information displayed on the website). On answering the call the receptionist immediately told me that the practice wasn’t open until 0830hrs and said that this was an emergency line, I clarified whether this line was for urgent/duty calls for on the day appointments - she said yes, to which I replied that my call was urgent as I was unwell and that I would like to speak to somebody today. The receptionist simply repeated that this was an emergency line (which doesn’t in itself actually make sense in core hours - if it was an emergency then I would be dialing 999, not calling my GP Surgery!) and that they open at 0830hrs. Then, as I was in the middle of speaking to the receptionist she simply put the phone down on me!! Which, given her role and obligation as a front line member of the practice team to deliver (what I would expect to be) a good and professional level of service to patients, I found to be shocking and extremely rude, which was made even worse by the fact that I am unwell!

  9. Review titled Speedy Results!!!

Rated 4 stars out of 5

I am a live-in carer and noticed some red patches on my client's body over the weekend. My client has limited mobility. So, with my client's consent, I took some pictures and sent them to the GP surgery around noon time. Within 2-3 hours, I was informed my client had the 'classic' symptoms of shingles. I would like to say thank you to the surgery and Dr for their speedy response. I was able to collect her medication (on the same) from the pharmacy and administer their first dose without actually taking my client to the Doctor. It is not always easy to get an immediate appointment with GPs and it can be challenging with senior citizens with limited mobility. Keep up the good work. And Big Big Thank You!!!

  10. Review titled Go elsewhere

Rated 1 star out of 5

I’m horrified that this practice is still “open”. By open I mean the lights are on- but I can assure you GP’s aren’t working. Given the impending energy crisis, it’s probably just best to turn the lights off and end the charade. The receptionists do their best most of the time- If you can get through on the phone. But finding a GP who will meet you face to face or phone you about anything urgent or otherwise- good luck. Getting them to actually do the prescriptions they offer, good luck. Getting them to treat you seriously instead of dismissing your concerns and health as overthinking- only to later find your condition was extremely serious and you needed urgent care- good luck. They can provide comedy at times; such as when you complain about getting an appt and they advise you to use engage consult online (which is only open when they are) and there are no appointments available whatsoever and in the three years of trying to book one online I have never found an appointment available. Strained NHS and all the rest, I can be sympathetic- but this place is jokes. Non stop jokes…. Go to another local surgery- or if you can afford it, go private. Your life and health matter too much.
