Review titled Appoint Problem with the practice

I am trying to get appointment for my regular GP. I am told to register on line first. I have filled the details and sent it. Got reply saying send two proof of address. But still no registration. Rang surgery. Fir the receptionist was not interested in talking and then she said send the details again. Told her the details. Then after persuading her she tried to take my my details. She was not concentrating , told her everything tree four times. Answer was. Registration will take two weeks and then till no appointment for you. Told me to go to hospital. This is not acceptable. What a shame. My regular Doctor Is very good Doctor. But surgery appointment procedure is awful.

I went in the practice ans spoken to guy at the reception to hand my stool sample in but he couldn't understand me and he asked whats my name and date of birth took so long and he spelt my name wrong I told him he didn't correct it I was waiting for a long whilen just to hand in stool sample.

The last three times I have tried to call at 8:30 I have sat in hold for at least an hour and a half, just to be told all the appointments have gone. Call back tomorrow and try again. I can't do this everyday as I work. Twice I have tried to get my very unwell child seen, but no. It was more acceptable for them that I call 111 and take him to St. Albans at 11:30pm to be seen. Routine appointment, can see you in a month. Just as well it's not for abnormal lumps or other worrying things. However, copious messages and emails I get sent inviting me to wellwoman clinics, health check clinics, flu jabs, etc. I wonder if so much of the time the doctors have free to run these clinics but not see ill patients is to do with additional funding. It was never like this before, over twenty years a patient here and have never felt so let down.

For the first time in a few years I met such Professionals in GP. The doctor was very nice, he had time to talk, explain, advise, the nurses the same and the reception staff is also very nice.
