On a train from London I realised I was about to collapse.I decided to go to my surgery.I explained to the receptionist that I felt really bad and probably needed to see a doctor urgently.I was told that a doctor wiould call me later. I waited for the call until 10 p.m. I ended following night at A&E.Where I got a professional help, strong painkillers and was given antibiotics. A week later my ear was still painful and I've lost the ability to hear on one ear. I went back to the surgery,explained the situation and was told i would get another call from a doctor. I thought, that they could not let me down for the second time. How naive I was. Is it just me or has anyone else had this problem? Tried to find a private ear doctor but all they offer is to remove wax. Due to my other health issues I can not go abroad at this moment for treatment. Feeling really upset and helpless. Please tell me what I can do.

A few days ago I wtote a negative review about the Brewer Street Surgery. It turns out that I was wrong.The reason for not getting promised phone calls from the doctors was a problem with my mobile number. Everything was sorted out by the surgery manager and I was helped by a doctor. I am grateful for the help of all at the surgery.

Review titled Over 2 weeks to get a repeat prescription

Took over 2 weeks to get tablets for athletes foot!! Unbelievable! I put in a repeat prescription request on their form for a medication that I had a few weeks back. After a week's wait, they sent a text message to say I needed to speak to a doctor first. (Bearing in mind I'd already had this medication a few weeks ago.) I telephoned for an appointment, and was told the following week. I had a 45 second phone appointment today, to confirm what medication I needed. Doctor said he's send the prescription though. I went to the pharmacy 4 hours later. Prescription not there. Phoned surgery, and was told it had gone to Paydens pharmacy when I quite clearly ticked Penenden Heath on the original request form!! It's now 4pm on Friday and too late to go running around to the Paydens pharmacy in town, so it'll have to wait until Monday, wasting yet more time!! It should not take over 2 weeks to get simple tablets for athletes foot!! It's disgraceful!! Just as well I can drive to all these pharmacies! Imagine if you couldn't! Just glad the medication isn't for anything life-threatening!! Appalling!!

This practice is exceptional in my opinion. When you need help, the whole team do their utmost to provide it. I am very grateful for the service which they provide under increasingly, demanding circumstances. Dedicated, professional and caring. Very rare.

After phoning surgery about concerns for my sister, I was very impressed with the support I had; very polite person on reception and managed to get a phone call from a doctor to my sister that day. As I'm in Dorset it was much needed help. Many thanks to all the staff . Merry Christmas

Today I was feeling unwell and usually dread calling the doctors, but I was greeted with the cheeriest, friendliest receptionist who went above and beyond to help me get an appointment for blood tests the same day. She was wonderful and I felt she put me as a patient first. She was funny and kind. I then went to have my bloods taken (that morning) and had yet another excellent experience from the practice nurse. She again was so friendly, made sure I was comfortable and made me laugh too, it was wonderful. Thank you so much to both of you for putting my mind at ease, it can be difficult if you’re feeling unwell and nervous, but you made the whole experience a very positive one. You both were so caring and kind and it really went a long way. Thank you.

I needed a test just before the bank holiday. The receptionist was really helpful. Despite having no available appointments she spoke to the nurse who very kindly agreed to see me the same day. Everyone went 'above and beyond' to help me. Thank you.
