Review titled Bad practice, unfriendly and unhelpful staff

I fell over outside the surgery when I went to pick up some results. My knee was bleeding. I asked the receptionist for a plaster and she said she'd get me one but continued to take calls. I waited patiently for about 20 minutes. When she was free she asked the lady behind me "can I help you?" I asked "what about me?" and she answered abruptly that she's "very busy". While I was waiting, I asked a doctor in the hallway for a plaster. I showed him my bleeding leg and he told me to "go to the chemist to buy one". I didn't have any money as I only went to get test results. On the way home, with blood dripping down my leg, a lady kindly gave me a tissue and said there's a doctor's surgery on Bincote Road and to go and get it seen to. She couldn't believe it when I told her I'd just come from there. I called the practice manager, who said she would investigate and call me back. I've called twice since then and sent two emails for some feedback.. four weeks later and I still haven't heard anything. What an awful practice.

Doctor asked to look at my face – I assumed this was related to the reason for my appointment. It wasn’t. Completely unsolicited, I was told I had acne and scarring and a prescription could be written for treatment. Inappropriate.

Dear Patient. We are sorry you felt this comment was inappropriate. The GP who saw you is a Dermatologist and therefore is aware of skin conditions. He only made this comment as he is concerned that as you grow older your skin may become scarred and you could possibly feel self conscious. He made the suggestion that treatment is available to help the acne but for you to think about it. He certainly didnt intend to upset you in any way and apologises for doing this. I sent two emails fao of the practice manager. I have received no response despite calling several times. Each time I called I was told she is off, in a meeting or just popped out. The practice manager has never returned my calls or responded to my email. Emails was sent over 4 weeks ago. I don't know what is being managed but is certainly not their inbox.

Today I saw a doctor about my medical conditions . He checked me throughly and looked at the test results from the Hospital, asked few questions and prescribed me with some medications. He was kind, reassuring and gave words of encouragement. I am happy to say everything went well today. This practice and all who works there are always willing to listen, they are polite and caring profession people.

Today I had a thorough check with one of the doctors as I had a health concern. From the moment I went in for the consultation I was dealt with in the most professional and caring way. The doctor went above and beyond to ensure that every symptom was noted and treatment was discussed. A referral was immediately organised to my local hospital. I cannot think of a better service from this surgery and can only thank them so much.

Both my husband and myself have nothing but praise for the doctors, practice manager, receptionists and other workers at Bincote surgery. We have been patients here for many years and have never had any cause to complain. Problems have been dealt with efficiently and politely by all.

Our little girl had a sudden health issue and a lovely doctor saw us extremely quickly and went above and beyond to help us. They called two specialists, prescribed appropriate medication and listened to all my concerns. I could not fault the care we received today and feel very lucky to have such a lovely, local practice here. It can take a while to get through on the phone, but they offer appointments on the day or next normally and when it comes to helping you when you, or a little one, really needs it, they are amazing.

I think Bincote Road Surgery is an excellent practice. The doctors and receptionists are very good. Their online consultation service is brilliant. I submitted a request and it was dealt with by the doctor very efficiently and quickly

I am very very disappointed with This Bincort surgery, it is very hard to get a GP appointment. I log in to my Patient access and tried to make an appointment, but it said impossible to get an appointment. so then I was called for many days many times. during this month. my health condition is very bad. but they are very very rude and do not communicate. so this very bad experience with this surgery .sorry I need inform NHS

I completed an econsolt on Thursday. The response stated I would be contacted by thw latest of 6:30 the next day. I did not receive a phone call from a GP until the following Wednesday despite having to phone the practise 10+ times across Monday/Tuesday/Wednesday to explain the need for an appointment and the detrimental effect the lack on contact on the Friday had. They could not explain why it took so long to speak to a doctor despite them assure me they would male contact each day.
