Further to a previous unfavourable review on here, I forgot to mention that while I was at the surgery, I enquired about getting an over-65 flu jab (this was in the middle of October). The receptionist gave me a date that was two weeks away and then withdrew it. Then, after consulting with people in the back office, the receptionist declined to give me a date at all as they weren't "set up". I got the vaccination done in a Boots pharmacy the next day. This is basic stuff. They weren't set up? What are they playing at?

Pre COVID, I had no complaints at all about this practice. But now, I'm becoming concerned at what I perceive to be the start of a slip in standards at this surgery. To explain... Since about 10 years ago, my ongoing medication requires me to have an annual blood test. On previous occasions, I've only had to phone the surgery and request my annual test and it would be scheduled without a fuss. Not this time. When I phoned the surgery, to arrange my annual blood test, I was required to explain to a receptionist why I needed one. That's outrageous! What if I'd been an elderly person who didn't particularly know why a blood test was necessary? I'm not asking for a blood test on a personal whim. It's because my GP says I need one! Then came the visit to the surgery for the blood test. No problem for me personally but, on arrival, I couldn't help but notice that I was the only patient in the waiting room. It was about 2:15pm. As far as I could see, I was still the only patient there at the time of leaving half an hour later. How does that sit with the pre-recorded message on their phone saying that the surgery is "at capacity"? Do they actually have any doctors on the premises? Finally, about a week later, I phoned the surgery to get the results of my blood test. The phone was answered by the same receptionist who queried why I needed one. I informed this person that I was calling to get my test results. The receptionist then proceeded to read out the results, saying that everything was normal except for one thing. I asked what was the "one thing" that wasn't normal. The receptionist then attempted to read out the technical detail from the results. When I asked what it meant, I was told "I don't know", and would I like to speak to a doctor. I ask you, is that a professional way to run front of house where people with no medical training try to read out patients test results that they can't even pronounce let alone understand? I don't think so. So, that's why I'm getting concerned. Happily, what medical problems I have are of no great concern, but it may not always be that way. I do hope my recent experience is not the start of a general downward slide.

I have recently moved to London and have been using this practice. The nurses / doctors who I've spoken to over the phone are wonderful, kind and patient. When I ring for appointments I get through on the phone quickly and a doctor always rings me back that same day. Great service, thank you.

Bethnal Green health centre is very good. My doctor help me so much wen I was very ill. I would recommend this practice for the excellent service. Thank you doctor and staff.

I am pregnant and trying to get an appointment with doctor to discuss my thyroid issues. The receptionists are so rude, and treats patients really bad. They shouted on me because I asked for an appointment.
