    Contacted surgery at 12.44 regarding my baby. I was offered an appointment for 1pm which was amazing but unfortunately I did not have a car so couldn’t make it in time. They offered me online consultation. By 1.06pm I had sent my concerns with pictures, received a reply from a GP with a diagnosis and a prescription had been sent to the chemist. Totally fantastic!

    I sat on the phone in a queue of 2 twice today Twice I was cut off Wasted over 40 minutes in total I now have to make my way to the surgery to speak to someone regarding my query

    Highly proficient and curtious service from the receptionists, nurses and doctors. Helpful in every way, easy to get an appointment and quick to see a doctor.

    I requested medicine on mygp at 8am it was at my nominated pharmacy by 11am. Absolutely brilliant. I never have any problem with my requests. When I visit in person or telephone the surgery the staff are always really friendly, helpful and understanding. I love my surgery.

    Following the recent death of my father, my elderly mum has moved to Astley to be nearer me as I am now her carer. My mum has multiple, complex chronic illnesses requiring a lot of medication and GP support. The move to a new GP was daunting for her but the support she has received from the doctors and receptionists at the practice has been excellent. Her records were moved across very promptly and she was contacted proactively for a medication and health review within a fortnight. Following this she was referred very quickly for additional diagnostic tests. A slight problem we had accessing the NHS electronic patient record system to reorder her prescriptions was dealt with immediately by the receptionist when we called the surgery. Overall the move to a new GP and practice has been so reassuring to my mum, helping her through an otherwise difficult personal situation. I cannot thank you enough for all your care, compassion and understanding. You are all a credit to the NHS.

    I was in a queue on the phone 4th one. I was waiting for almost 30 minutes and when it was my turn,they hung up on me. This is not the first time that happened.

  7. Review titled A breath of fresh air

    I was with a different practice for many years before I transferred to Astley General Practice. What a breath of fresh air! I get texts reminding me of appointments, of test results and for times when the doctor needs to discuss results with me. Prescription requests are in promptly and referrals don’t sit on someone’s desk for weeks until I chase them up. I get through on the phone easily and the reception staff are polite and friendly. The nurse practitioner is also very approachable, as are both doctors. Thanks for making such a difference!
