    I have been with AMC for over 50 years and it has never let me down. I have contacted them 3 times this year. Each time the receptionist was polite, kind and helpful. I have spoken to two different doctors who had researched my history so that by the time we spoke they were efficient and came straight to the point. I cannot rate them highly enough. A wonderful team managed by wonderful leaders.

    I have belonged to the practice for many years and have never been disappointed. The care and attention is second to none. I can honestly say that any health concerns I have had over the years have been dealt with fast, sympathetically and with the utmost professionalism. I would thoroughly recommend. Thank you.

    I just wanted to say that I rang at 11 this morning as I have a nasty burn. The receptionist apologised that all doctors were busy today and that she could make me an appointment for this evening in Boundary House. I asked if she could check with clinician about what I should do until then and she rang me back in minutes with answer. Please thank receptionist for me. Who could fault that? Brilliant.

    I had a call from the Practice front desk following up on some tests. The receptionist walked me through what was next and booked the follow up appointments for me, all done in a pleasant, caring and efficient manner.

    We didn’t actually have an appointment as we’ve just recently registered at the Practice. The staff were most welcoming and helpful and we were fully informed of all the services available. The eConsult system has been used once and proved to be very efficient. In this day and age there are far to many complaints made about the NHS and those who staff it but as a now retired NHS Manager I recognise good service when I see it. Thank you for the welcome AMC.

    In the past few years I tried many times, and failed, to get an appointment with a doctor at this surgery; even phone appointments seem rarer than hen’s teeth. Eventually gave up and let situations deteriorate so much they are now serious problems. Tried again to get an appointment recently, the only one I could have was at an Extended Hours clinic at a different surgery, run by a private health company. I haven’t seen a doctor at the practice in about four years, only nurses and phlebotomists - why?! Are there even any doctors on site anymore? I understand Covid has made things harder for medical practitioners but problems existed here before, they’ve just been exacerbated by the pandemic. Being ill and worried to death about your health is bad enough as it is without the added stress of feeling like you have to fight to receive help or be abandoned, I really wish the practice’s partners would remember this. Mental health and vulnerable patients in particular risk being neglected and completely forgotten, with the consequences this entails. Please keep this in mind next time you casually dismiss a patient’s desperate call for help with “Sorry, there aren’t any appointments available. Try again next week”.

    Dear patient Thank you for your comments on NHS Choices; due to a technical glitch, the response we submitted last Monday 23rd, failed to upload so please accept my apologies for late response. As a Practice we always find feedback really helpful to ensure that we are keeping up to date with what patients are experiencing to compare locally within our Ascot Primary Care Network to see how we can improver. I am very sorry that you have experienced problems in securing contact with the Practice in this instance. There have been many changes in the way in which GP Practices work in recent years with the addition of varied clinicians to signpost patients to and give patient choice. Though we do offer every day telephone consultations with a GP or healthcare professional, we offer 24 hour, 7 days a week online eConsultations which are dealt with and acknowledged even over the weekend to book a future appropriate appointment and depending on the clinical need, that clinician decides whether the condition requires a face-to-face appointment. We are also fortunate to be able to utilise such appointments in providing our patients where demand and capacity have been exceeded in-house, offering alternative appointments locally which may be via telephone consultation or face-to-face. This may be with a local GP / Nurse / Paramedic / Pharmacist / Healthcare Assistant / Social Prescribers / Care Co-ordinators that would be more appropriate to deal with a specific medical issue. We have been proactively helping our patients who are more vulnerable and with long term conditions, by introducing the Month of Birth recall systems so that we have booked appointments in advance for them to see the most appropriate clinician and proactively ensure that this is a multi-disciplinary approach to reduce duplicate appointments and aim to give this service as a "one stop shop".
