    NHS need to investigate the Alton practice GP for always subjecting patients to the most terrible services. The receptionist today on 8th February at 12:46pm this afternoon rudely and falsely claimed that patients can’t register for the apps online; and must physically attend the GP to register using their paper forms. I can clearly see, the ability to register on the NHS app and Patient Access is clearly available. I’ve done the first part of the registration on Patient Access and linked the GP, but this unhelpful woman is refusing to approve the request, claiming “it’s not possible”.

    Terrible experience. You cannot see a doctor without a same day appointment that you need to book by phone at 08.00 o' clock even if it is urgent. Not even a chance of a telephone appointment. The few times I tried to walk in, was sent away even if there was no one in the waiting room.

    Phoned the day before and got an appointment on the morning of the next day. Very helpful reception and a caring and efficient GP. Got the necessary medicine and was away within 45 minutes. All of you are a credit to the NHS. It nearly, but only nearly, made being ill a pleasure.

    I rang to get an appointment and simply could not get through. I tried to speak to someone after 10.30am when the rush for appointments was over but still could not get through to speak to anyone.

    Dear Patient. Thank you for taking the time to provide this feedback. I am very sorry to hear of the poor experience you had when trying to contact the practice by telephone. We regularly review the volume of calls coming into the surgery and we plan our rotas accordingly. We have also provided other options for getting in touch with the practice. Patients can now contact us online via our website, for a very wide range of common queries. As a direct result of your feedback, I will be asking our telephony provider to ensure that there were no technical issues which may have resulted in you not being able to get through on the day in question.
