    The appointment times start from 8am till 9am they don't answer the phone and when they do they are fully booked and are very rude

    I accompanied my dad to an appointment to Alpha Medical Practice in April 2023 and it was awful. None of the receptionists, doctors, nurses or patients wore a mask, even with a sign stating that everyone should be wearing a mask. There was disabled parking but that was all the accessible accommodation there was. Wheelchair access entering and leaving was terrible; there is a bollard blocking the uphill entry but the reception staff said they didn't have a key to adjust it. My dad, with great difficulty, stood up, and waited for my to get inside before he sat in the wheelchair. When we got inside, there were at least five receptionists talking amongst each other, with one woman just getting up and changing seats doing nothing at all. The patient seating area is cramped, with no room for wheelchair users - I had to park my dad's wheelchair in front of a seat. The hallways and doorways are narrow and getting a wheelchair through these places was very difficult. In the doctor's room, I could see broken window blinds, and hear doors being shut loudly. Their website is suspended - how are patients supposed to get information? I honestly don't know how this GP surgery was certified by the NHS - it is straight out of a developing country not a first world country. I would never visit this GP surgery ever again. If you have a referral here, rebook it.
