Last night 6th February I attended a PCN arranged event at Halsey Hall in Cheshunt . The turnout was excellent, the amount of information given to the patients was phenomenal, I did notice that the leaflets and information that was available was also in the surgery on the table in the waiting room, the help is all there for those that need it, we’ll done Abbey Road

I attended the 'Patient Event' held at Halsey Hall on 6/2/24. It was a good evening, well organised, informative and free refreshments. Well done to all involved in running this for your Patients.

  3. Review titled Wonderful service

Having had a burst blister on my ankle, I made an appointment with the practise nurse which was given within a couple of days, she was prompt and very thorough, she cleaned and dressed it and gave me some dressing to put on after two days and told me make an appointment so she could see he it was getting on, I came out of the room and the receptionist gave me a time with no trouble, the follow up was that it it’s healing nicely and that if I needed to go back not to hesitate and she would see me, I couldn’t ask for more satisfactory service, we are so lucky to have the professional people at our surgery, I just wish that other people who write negative reports would use the service this surgery has to offer

  4. Review titled Great practice

After being told I had earwax by an audiologist I asked at the surgery if they did wax removal and to my surprise they said yes, the nurse confirmed it and told me to come back in a week after using olive oil to soften it, this I did and it was done very successfully, my surprise in this is because when I mentioned it to my friends who belong to different surgeries they said that theirs didn’t have this service. I count myself very lucky to be a patient at abbey road, I always get an appointment within two weeks, and also have spoken to a doctor with no trouble, whilst in the waiting room I noticed quite a few other services, which I think is something we as patients should be grateful for

  5. Review titled Very happy with this Surgery

Rated 5 stars out of 5

by Patient - Posted on 24 October 2023

I phoned the Surgery at 8.30am, as I'm in my 70's and needed an appointment. I was very surprised that it only took about 7 minutes to get through to a very pleasant and helpful receptionist. A vast improvement on the telephone lines! I was given an appointment with the Minor Illness Pharmacist, as I needed to be examined for a possible chest infection. She did all the tests that a Doctor would have done, oxygen levels, temperature, sounded my lungs from the back (but over my clothes as I was so cold), she was very empathetic and asked questions about my symptoms, duration, and discussed which antibiotics would be suitable for me. I felt very comfortable with her and confident with her knowledge and treatment. I'd be more than happy to see her again, if I needed an appointment. I also had my Flu and Covid vaccines at the Surgery recently and this was also very well organised. I really have no complaints at all with Abbey Road Surgery because the new Appointment System and the decreased waiting times to get through to them are significantly improved!

  6. Review titled Not Impressed

Rated 1 star out of 5

I am a new patient and are 74 and housebound. There is a waiting time of at least 1/2 to an hour for a phone to be answered. I was told to email Blood pressure readings to the practise and nowhere can I find an email address - one wasn't offered and receptionist was impatient to end the call, more or less cutting me off I have been registered for online services but when I entered details I was told there was an error and to contact the practise which has a phone waiting time of an hour. I get that the staff are under pressure but even so a little patience/compassion for an new elderly patient would help. I had to register with a practise as I moved home and honestly I wish I had chosen another one.

I would just like to give an unconditional Thank You to Abbey Road Surgery! A noted thank you especially to the Assistant Practice Manager and the Admin staff (receptionists) who have been invaluable in helping to sort out prescription concerns. They have all done so with patience, consideration and efficiently. The staff should be rewarded for their hard work and dedication. Thank you again

  8. Review titled Great Service

Rated 5 stars out of 5

by Patient - Posted on 25 January 2023

After being ill all over Christmas I had to contact the surgery to request a medication, that I'd been prescribed previously. I spoke to the Assistant Practice Manager, as she was already sorting out a problem with my repeat prescriptions. She arranged for the Community Pharmacist to phone me later the same day, to discuss my condition and she then prescribed the medication. A very efficient and painless process! I also had some blood tests done in December and I had a call a few days later from the Health Care Assistant, to discuss the results with me. I am more than happy to be a patient of this caring and efficient surgery.

  9. Review titled Great service

Rated 5 stars out of 5

I was contacted by the surgery to come in with my husband for a checkup as we are both elderly, we saw the pharmacist who took our blood pressure and asked us questions about our lifestyle because if one of us is not well are we capable of looking after him/her. We had an appointment to see a nurse two weeks later to check on our blood pressure diary and all is well. I am so impressed with this surgery, I didn’t know they had a pharmacist there, also there are leaflets about various things they do at the surgery, we are very lucky to have such brilliant service, I have read in the past some negative comments but I’m sure if patients looked at the information available they would realise how lucky we are to belong to such a brilliant surgery
