    I needed some information urgently from the surgery but unfortunately events got on top of me and I ended up getting upset at the receptionist desk. Rather than getting impatient as they have so much to cope with from people, two of them took the time to help me and one to sit with me while I composed myself again. I was so grateful and they definitely went over and above my expectations. Thank you so much.

    After a visit today to see a gp after an illness last week, I felt reassured everything was ok, the gp listened, made sure they checked everything and put me on the next course of treatment. I then came in 2 hours later for a blood test with the most loveliest nurse who was super quick but made sure she also took the time to check I was ok and had all the support I needed. Great service from all.

    I am a newly registered patient. I phoned early for an appointment and went through to the emergency line, the call handler was polite and friendly and explained I needed to phone at 8.30am. Although I was number 24 in the queue at 8.30am the call was answered quickly by a professional but also friendly and kind receptionist, who listened to me and made me an appointment. On arrival at the practice it was clean, well staffed with a professional feel. Although it was the first time I had met the Doctor he was approachable, and listened, I didn’t feel at all rushed. I am confident that I am getting the right medical treatment. Great service - Thank you to the team.

    New system is very professional and caring, quick response getting appointments and face to face meetings with doctors who take time to listen to what you say and act swiftly if and when needed

    Since early January The practice has even taken over by a new practice and what a difference it has made. We all know how poor the service used to be ,but since the changeover both my husband and I have needed to call the surgery and the phone was answered by a helpful receptionist within minutes. We were offered face to face appointments within 24 hours If this service continues Abbey Meads could move from a 1 rating to a 5 Well done Abbey Meads Surgery keep up this excellent service , the people of Abbey Meads have suffered with terrible service for years , it will be a treat to have a good medical practice in our area

    I do think telephone consultations have something to offer in modern medical practice. However, after being contacted by txt to ring a particular number to arrange a telephone consultation, I find that I have to leave several messages but to date have still not had a call back to have or arrange a consultation. This has been around two weeks now. Asthma team, please respond.

    Cant get an appointment despite playing the phone endlessly game from 8.00, just the same as everyone else registered with this surgery. 'Special Measures' to 'Needs Improvement' is certainly nothing to be proud of. Don't carry on accepting this awful service change to a 'good' rated surgery. Lots available for North Swindon taking on new patients. Other surgeries actually answer the phone.

    Calling over 100 times from 8.00 to 9.00. Either engaged or call queue full. e Consort not available during this time either. No online appointments ever posted. If you wait until later and you are lucky enough to get through all appointments are gone and you start the whole dreadful process again the next day. This surgery have been like this for years, totally unacceptable.......

    would like to review the services offered by the practice but i cannot get access to them phone engaged i can't even get as far as queue tried the e consult at 8 am it was closed this happened 3 days in a row .i know the nhs is in bad state but my parents live in devizes and i can ring their local practice and speak to a doctor the same day no problem so my conclusion is abbeymeads is very poor

    When calling I was on the phone for 32 minutes and then as I got to the top of the queue the phone was cut off. I called back and again was about 20 in the queue after 56!!! Minutes of waiting I was again cut off. I am so glad this practice has been put into special measures. Let’s hope things improve.
