  1. Review titled Congratulations For Ruining What was Once Good!

    This practice was once very good, but once the Practice Partners retired, getting any sort of help was hopeless. No appointments. Advice on eConsult to call next day - but never anyone to help? Consultation notes were ignored. When one of my consultants got in touch asking them to see me, i was advised via a telephone call that i was ‘in good hands’, but the appointment i was finally allocated was embarrassingly awful, and i still cannot believe the incompetence of the Doctor i seen? Reading off Google, and shrugging at me when i begged for help? I left the surgery in floods of tears wondering what qualifications the man actually had? No one called me to see if i was okay. I left there in a worse state of mind than when i got there. This was the last straw in a long string of failings. I have now been accepted with another GP. Please avoid this practice, as the new owners have destroyed it.

    I used to be so proud of the practice but since it has been taken over it has become a farce. Trying to book an appointment of a morning means ringing & ringing from 8 in the morning until when you finally get through (usually at least 20 minutes) only to find no appointments available. As this is the only way of getting an appointment it isa nonsense!!!!

    I have been trying to arrange an appointment with 'any' GP (haven't seen my actual GP for over a decade so not being picky ) at this practice for 21 days - this is not a service !!!!

    This is a great surgery however it’s appointment booking system needs improvement constantly calling until you get through is like a lottery I believe a call back system will be more time efficient and a positive improvement to the surgery

    I have been trying to get an appointment with my Dr for over two weeks now I feel there is something terribly wrong with me. I am in terrible pain but the receptionist refuses to acknowledge my problem. I am 84 years young and all they say is you need to book an appointment online. I have had my sons help to write this as I doing use a computer.

    Some of the doctors are great, listen to your concerns and explain the diagnosis. While others cut you off, don’t listen to your problem in full, and act like you are a waste of their time. Quite a few times now I have come out of the doctors and cried because I feel so unheard and worried, I am looking at changing doctors. The reception team also need training on customer service, they are rude, unhelpful and quite intimidating. They also think the glass is sound proof as well, as they don’t mind discussing/criticising patients for all to hear. They are dealing with sick and frightened people, who may not know everything they need to do correctly.

    After calling 52 times from 8am I finally got through to the surgery. When I asked for an appointment with my preferred GP I was told she'd left quite some time ago. So I asked for an appointment with another female GP if possible. I was then asked by the receptionist what I wanted to the see a doctor for. I told her I'd rather not discuss it with her. She then said she wouldn't be able to make an appointment with me unless she knew what I wanted to see a GP for. The receptionist! At this point I got very upset and started crying. Who wants to do that on the phone to the receptionist? I was then forced to tell her what I wanted to speak to the GP about. Only to then be told there were no appointments available. I was advised to call again the next morning. I stated I had been trying since 8am and the receptionist responded - "you and everybody else". I'm now sitting at home in tears and feeling 10 times worse than when I called. I've always found the GPs wonderful in this surgery but I find the receptionists to be quite rude and intrusive. I most feel like apologising for calling.
