    My elderly mother missed 1 appointment due to an incorrect date given by receptionist, 2nd appointment I emailed as my mum had covid. 3rd one I forget. Now she has been struck off from being an NHS patient 3 missed appointments 2 of which were not her fault - with a very blunt email. She was with Trents years ago and was like others just moved without warning. Reception never answers calls, we were always late getting into our appointment and now at 89 she is banned. Shocking to treat anyone like this.

    We operate a practice policy (supported by the NHS rules and regulations) where if an NHS patient fails to attend 2 appointments within a 12 month period, we will not offer them further NHS appointment at Your Dentist Didcot. We uphold this policy in all cases to allow the best access possible for the maximum number of NHS patients possible. Our reception team are very responsive to phone calls and if (in the rare case) you can't reach then via telephone, we answer emails promptly to info@yourdentistdidcot.co.uk. At times our dentists may run late, this can happen when we are ensuring each of our patients have the care and attention required for their individual circumstances, which occasionally takes longer than anticipated. We wish you well with your mother's ongoing dental care elsewhere.
