Rated 5 stars out of 5

Came here on Tuesday the 2nd with s raging tooth ache, check me over, need 2 teeth pulled and a filling. Came back today, the 5th, to be told I have an infection, won't do the extraction until it has cleared up. My dentist, was very thorough checking my teeth. He said not to worry he will take care of me and my teeth. I completely trust him completely. Thank you 😊

  2. Review titled Avoid this practice

I have been a patient here for 16 years but won’t be returning. Recently went in because of a small bubble on my gum. Was told it was infected, I would need antibiotics, a root canal and possibly an extraction following that plus deep cleaning which can only be done privately at a cost of £250. I had zero pain in my mouth and he did X-rays which he himself said showed the root of the tooth was fine. The antibiotics did nothing for this bubble so clearly was not an infection, it eventually went away on its own. I think it was just a small fluid filled cyst. I called back to question why I couldn’t have the cleaning done on band two of the NHS charges. I was told the dentist would call back, he didn’t. I called again and was told he would call to explain. He didn’t. I ended up cancelling the appointment. I was offered to see someone else for the cleaning instead for £80 to which I agreed. I went for that appointment to be told £80 was only for 20 minutes so would need to book a further three appointments at £80 a time to complete treatment. So a total of £300. I don’t understand what is going on here but don’t trust what they are doing. Things seem to have changed a lot and they must be making a fortune. They are not a true NHS dentist. They use that to lure people in then scare them into paying lots of money for private work. Avoid at all costs.

  3. Review titled A Terrible Dental Practice!

Rated 1 star out of 5

My NHS check up consisted of a one minute look in my mouth, literally, and a list of private work they are prepared to do. The dentist did not even identify my 3 broken teeth until I drew his attention to them. Strangely, the work does not need to be done on the NHS, only privately. They are abusing the NHS system, taking advantage of the lack of dentists, and taking my money for doing nothing useful. Disgusting!

lost hospital x ray by incompetent receptionists, dentist dont listen....rush you out for regular quicker easier money making patients for a tooth filling or polish lol, joke..., rather then ones that actually in pain and need treatment. Paid 26 quid to join as an nhs payment, just for a 7 days antibiotics to get me out, but no treatment plan? useless....pointless x ray reception too busy gossiping between themselves, totally incompetent money all over care allday. Want my 26 quid and will see a more professional dental surgeon

  5. Review titled Would recommend

Rated 5 stars out of 5

I've been coming to the dentist as an NHS patient for about 7 years. The dentist and hygienist are very professional and caring. The waiting times aren't too long. The dentist is also very good with children and puts them at ease. I'd recommend this practice to anyone in the local area.

  6. Review titled Pushing Private work

Rated 1 star out of 5

I went for a check-up and asked to have a simple teeth clean at the same time. I was told they do not do it, unless clinically necessary as per NHS guidelines, however, in the next breath, I was recommended to see the hygienist, as there was some inflammation, on the lower gums due to tar tar. I also was informed that I needed root canal treatment on a broken tooth which would also need a crown. I was told that the NHS treatment would likely be unsuccessful, It was better to be done privately. The private cost wasn't going to be far off £1000 I have made 3 tel calls to get this done on the NHS, but I have not had a call back from the dentist.

  7. Review titled Disgusting money hole

Rated 1 star out of 5

by Ott Tuulberg - Posted on 18 May 2023

It is absolutely disgusting and disappointing. I only chose this place because it was the only one in the area taking new NHS patients. They only want money and don't care about patients' welfare. Last time, the dentist could not fit the crown and wanted me to pay for the expenses to send it back to the lab to get a new one. Even recommended white one to get more money out of me. I paid in full and did not get anything in return. The dentist was always late, a minimum of 30 minutes over the appointment time and one time even over one hour. I have never experienced something so bad as this. Stay away if you want to keep your teeth and money!

  9. Review titled Do not go there, horrific!

Rated 1 star out of 5

Honestly shocking. Every time I go to the dentist they pressure me into having expensive work done like crowns or seeing the hygienist or trying to get Me to get veneers or half my teeth whitened. They are always late by like 30-40 mins and that’s because the dentist identifies an apparent problem and then decides to fix it there and then rather than make you come back for an appointment like every other dentist I’ve been too. This dentist has made my mouth a battlefield. Went in for a root canal and then was told I didn’t need it after all but because he had booked me a long appointment it wasn’t fair to waste his time and that instead I should get a crown down and a filling. After pressuring me so much I gave in and had the crown down. In doing so he removed the glue from behind my bottom wire for my retainer and then made the mold for my crown too big so now my actual retainer doesn’t fit which is gonna cost me £150 to get made again, then to top it off the tooth he took a mold for and made a temporary crown for randomly cracked and fell to pieces a week after having it done. So I now have a metal wire half sticking up in my mouth and half a tooth. I had no problems until I saw him and now this. Every time I see him he tells me I need a filling but it’s always on the same tooth. Honestly do not go here
