  1. Review titled NHS Status of accepting new patient

Rated 3 stars out of 5

The status for this dental practise says that it accepts new patients but when called came to know that they will only accept if they have available space. This is confusing and incorrect.

  2. Review titled Disappointed would be an understatement

Extremely dissatisfied. Wouldn’t give them any stars whatsoever. They have refused my children to receive nhs care and treatment and ‘black listed’ them for the foreseeable future so that they are unable to ever attend this dental practise which I believe is highly unreasonable. Deeply saddened by this outcome and Trinity’s lack of understanding and compassion towards patients especially children. Context: we have recently moved to the area and I relentlessly called around many dental practises to take on my 2yr old and 5yr old. Trinity were the only ones around the vicinity that accepted nhs patients. However I was told we can not book appointments in advance and it could take months before they are seen. Thrilled with the idea of just finding a dental practise, I assumed I will get a call in a few months time to book them in. Surprisingly, soon after this call I receive a text message out of the blue for a dental care appointment for my children to be seen in 2 days time. Due to the stress of recently moving homes, I confused this appointment and thought It was a reminder text from the previous dental practise my children were joined too as I was under the impression that I would not hear from Trinity dental care for atleast the next few months. Not wanting to miss the appointment as I am aware of the detriment/inconvenience caused by missed appointments, I took my 5yr old out of school early and drove over an hour in temperatures of 26 degrees to make the appointment only to find that it was not the correct surgery. Taking a second glance at the text message, it had the name of trinity dental practise, date and time of the appointment. Having made a great error of judgment, I frantically called Trinity dental care but it kept going to a voicemail which clearly stated I am unable to leave a voice message. Although they close at 17:00 and the appointments were booked for 16:20 and 16:40, I did not manage to get through. Finally when I managed to speak to them the following day, I was shocked at how the receptionist handled the situation. She made me feel like I was lying abut trying to contact them as she kept saying lines are open till 5pm. She didn’t care to understand and kept reiterating their processes which is that my children will no longer be seen in this practise due to my mistake. Although I take full accountability, if the text message had included the address, it would have prompted me to realise the appointment is in Sutton Coldfield. I also feel that I should have received a call from Trinity regarding the appointment in 2 days time rather than being sent a generic text message out the blue. I would be more understanding of their processes if a patient continuously missed appointments or were always late but this was a genuine mistake. Shame on them for turning away children. Not a great experience when we are new to the area.

Have been a patient here for over 20 years. I am a nervous patient & am always treated sensitively & without judgement. Cannot fault the professionalism or quality of treatment received.
