I contacted Thornton Dental Practice for emergency dental treatment following a fractured tooth. My own dentist would only offer an extraction to alleviate the pain, but nothing to replace the gaping hole and anxiety it would have left. The Dentist swiftly offered an emergency appointment, and provided clarity on costings and the treatment plan. Together with the Dental Nurses, they demonstrated the utmost in professionalism, and were so considerate and courteous, treating me with dignity and respect, and putting me at ease throughout treatment. I shared my concerns with the Dentist, who listened intently, offered advice and guidance, and ensured that I was actively consulted throughout the entirety of my treatment plan. I was able to make well-informed decisions, and notified of next steps and timeframes. I am free from pain, ecstatic with the post / core crown treatment, which was completed within the specified timeframe, and am now able to smile confidently. I cannot thank Thornton Dental Practice and all of their Team enough for their help, understanding and support. It is not difficult to understand why the Care Quality Commission (CQC) rated Thornton Dental Practice as "Safe, Effective, Caring, Responsive and Well-Led" in their inspection. Their rapid response, intervention, and reassurance has completely restored my faith in dentistry. I have no hesitation in wholeheartedly recommending Thornton Dental Practice.

I was able to get an appointment for a check up relatively quickly for which I am so grateful. At the checkup the dentist advised that needed a wisdom tooth extraction. My appointment was booked quickly and I was reassured that it would be relatively straightforward. I was very nervous having listened to many horror stories and having experienced excruciating pain from a previous dry socket. The dentist was so kind and even offered to delay as I had a holiday booked when I was sat in the chair. She proceeded and removed the tooth almost in 1 pull. I can honestly say it was pain free and have not even taken a paracetamol since I had it extracted 3 days ago. I feel I need to mention her name in person and thank her profusely for her overall manner and competence. I feel very lucky to be a patient at this practice where I have been an NHS patient for over 40 years. Thank you Diane Parker.
