I have just been refused dental treatment on the grounds of being too heavy for the chair, the chair I have been treated in on more than one occasion I was even sat in the chair when given the news that they can't treat me, all this after 2years of no appointments with covid and months of waiting for this appointment. no alternative was offered just sorry can't help you...well so much for the NHS no wonder dentistry in this country is down the toilet

Review titled St Agnes Dental Practice

    Replied on 01 December 2022

St Agnes Dental Practice along with other Dental Practices is complying with the safety weight limits for operating its dental chairs. We understand that weight can be a sensitive subject and would like Mr Stokes to get in touch with us so that we can offer a fuller explanation of his case. We are very sorry for his distress. There is at present no access to referral for dental care for people who require special consideration due to their weight. On behalf of all of our patients we are and will continue to lobby the NHS for better provision. If anyone has any concerns regarding the above you may please contact Mrs Mandy Wright the Practice Manager, in confidence, for information and advice on the current situation.
