The dentist I have is so caring from start of the treatment til the end and I suffer with my back and cannot lay flat she always sits me up as far upright as she can , The reception staff are also nice and helpful

Waited a year for an NHS appointment, they cancelled it but offered an appointment for next year, said if I could pay private they could get us in, I said I couldn't pay private so I'll take the appointment for next year, then said I couldn't have one next year after saying we could and then threw us off their books. In that year, I could have been looking for another dentist for myself and my daughter. Why offer appointment for next year and then throw us off your books because I can't pay private after you took us on as NHS patients? Appalling!

As you may be aware, we do have several dentist vacancies at your practice and are actively trying to recruit. Unfortunately, recruitment of dentist’s post pandemic is proving extremely difficult. There is a shortage of dentists in the UK which is making attracting dentists to certain areas of the country more difficult and we are experiencing challenges in recruiting to the area. However, we are looking at all options to attract and re-locate dentists to your practice. Please be assured that the vacancies are not through any lack of trying or apathy on our part, purely that recruiting dentists, is proving difficult. However, whilst we are recruiting, if you experience a dental emergency, e.g. pain, swelling or bleeding then you can still contact the practice and they will triage your symptoms and advise you how obtain emergency assistance until the practice is fully staffed. I was referred ro my dentist ro have a tooth extraction the experience was as pleasant as it could be. Very polite and every step of rhe procedure explained to me. Excellent service

Always had a fear of dentists as i had a terrible experience when I was a child but going my dentist peel Street barnsley I was made to feel relaxed and very reassured can't thank them enough.

My 4 year old son is autistic and was extremely frightened of the dentist and had a meltdown on the floor, the dentist came down to his level and looked in his mouth as best as she could without distressing him anymore than he was. The dentist was kind, professional and very understanding.

Went to see my dentist to repair a broken tooth. After contacting the reception team and explained my predicament I was booked in for an appointment in just a few weeks, it was classed as non urgent as there was no pain. When I attended my appointment the reception staff were warm, welcoming and efficient. I was quickly seen by my dentist who took the time to make me feel comfortable snd assuage any nervousness I was feeling. After a brief description of my problem they took a look and explained the treatment plan necessary to repair my tooth. Both the dentist and their assistant were very attentive, caring, friendly and professional. They carried out the treatment with very little discomfort and gave aftercare advice. I was extremely happy with the outcome.

Only interested in private customers, make appointments and wait 6 months to a year for dentist to cancel them at the last minute, then start the 6 months wait again. This occurred pre lockdown regularly too. Such a shame as the dentist is very good. But the company don't care. I am in so much pain I am considering taking out my own tooth with pliers. If you are an BHS customer go elsewhere if possible.

Thank you for your feedback and I am sorry for any inconvenience caused. Unfortunately, as this practice is already at maximum capacity for NHS patients, they are currently unable to offer you an NHS place. In some practices where we have no NHS appointment capacity, we do have alternative private options for patients to access dentistry, outside of the practices NHS contractual obligations. My experience at My Dentist is always a pleasant one The staff on reception are very welcoming and polite the dental nurses are also make you feel at ease and my Dentist herself I couldn't ask for any more she always goes above and beyond yo make sure the visit goes to plan and she is also very patient and understanding
