My teeth are in a terrible mess as a result of lockdown and being unable to find an nhs dentist. I was terrified as I know I need a lot of treatment. On the day I attended I knew that I was going to have a scale and polish first and then have three teeth extracted - as I had been told this at my initial appointment. I can honestly say that this is the best dental practice I have ever attended. I am 75 years old and in the past have had other dentists who have always caused me pain and discomfort. The receptionist was very friendly and helpful, the hygienist did an excellent job too, but my biggest praise goes to the dentist herself. She informed me what she was doing at every stage. Told me what to do when I got home and I felt very much at ease. She extracted 3 teeth, packed and stitched my gums and I found the experience far better than any other dental experience I had had in the past. All I can say is thank you all for the wonderful treatment you have given me. As a very nervous patient I would recommend this dentist as the very best. I really appreciate what they are doing for me.

Needed a tooth out met the folk at the surgery and have to say each one there was pleasant and very professional, I am not happy to have lost a tooth but am very pleased with the treatment and advice I recieved. Thankyou all 👍. Kevin.

Haven’t even been there and I wouldn’t go back 😭 . I urgently needed to be seen at a dentist as I’m not registered with one due to covid ect ect, found maypole. Seemed amazing at first, got me in for a few days time, lady on the phone was really nice …. Couldn’t get there last minute due to transport issues. Tried to see if I could re schedule as i really needed to be seen and no where else can see me and they said no, we can’t see you again , so I’m basically banned from the dentist because I had transport issues? Stupid. Avoid this place. Lady I spoke to to tell I couldn’t make it was really rude with poor customer service. Training needed!

I work as family support worker and was able to register families who i support where they have struggled to find a dentist taking on new patients. They also allowed me to register with them. We have all been able to have fairly quick appointments within a couple of weeks.

I went to them with a side hole in 3rd molar, it is not infected, is part of my bite and i use it to chew. The initial appointment I had was informative in regards other issues I have other than 3rd molar, and the lady referred it to be extracted. I was not happy with this and informed the receptionist in the politest manner that im not happy and i want the tooth filled as it functions as part of my bite and is not infected. I was made appointment with owner of practice and he didnt even listen or acknowledge my concerns and said he wants to take both 3rd molars out and his explanation was " they are spare teeth" and "ive had mine out." I had similar advice from a dentist 8 years ago regarding a tooth extraction and i said no i want a root canal and the tooth is still fine and well after nearly a decade. I believe its because the NHS pays the same rates to save the tooth as they do to pull it. my main complaint is that if it is the case that it cant be saved, but im confidant it ca be, then a doctor should be able to professionally explain to me why the tooth can not be saved. if you go to a GP he will explain the diagnosis and treatment options, not use expressions like "spare teeth". the receptionist is rude as well

Asking politely if the dental practice taking on new NHS patients, the receptionist asked me why did I need a dentist now, and did I have a dentist before. A simple question generated a complicated , barricaded answer! Some communication training is desperately needed.

Good morning I was sorry to hear you had some issues when calling the practice. The questions asked are to determine if you have a problem such as swelling, If this is the case then we try our best to see patients on an occasional basis to help resolve the pain. If you already have a dentist then we ask why you are looking to change. We operate a waiting list at the moment and if there. is no urgency to be seen then we add patients to this list and contact as and when we get availability I hope this answers why we don't always say a simple yes or no to the question you asked as there are always circumstances to take into consideration. If you wish to call in the future I hope we can add you to our list. Manager

I visited today 7/3/23 for a 6 monthly check-up and was greeted (as always) by the friendly faces on reception. Despite being always busy with queues at the desk and phones ringing they always find time to give you their full attention and process every patient professionally in a timely manner. I waited just 5-10 minutes to be seen by my dentist. I just needed a scale and polish today which I would rate as high quality, very thorough and value for money. I would really recommend this practice.

I am not patient but I need urgent appointment I all night not sleep I have bad teeth pain and they just said when I call then it’s not then problem and we not take new patients. It’s oky if you not take new patient but at least can help whit medicin antibiotic antill pain gone I have time find then dantist. Discusstind i disappointed they leave people in pain.

Dear Patient I was sorry to hear about your problem when you contacted the surgery. Unfortunately we are not in a position to take on new patients until early February. As a practice we cannot issue prescription or medicines without seeing a patient. I appologise we couldnt help you on this occasion . There is a 111 service available you may like to try and I do hope you can get help with your dental problems Practice Manager
